Could be so much better ...
This is one of those items that has me a bit undecided how to score it. It could be so much better with a couple of tweaks that I honestly don't understand why they aren't part of the design in the first place.Firstly the charger and battery... yes you get two batteries but the first charge was a deceptive 3hrs as they are obviously partly charged. The manual when I read it said 3-8 hours 😯 so I thought well we'll see what it actually is before I make up my mind 100% maybe it means a bigger one would take up to 8 hours. Upon it taking 3 hours I thought, I can probably live with that. However, after using the strimmer and using the battery to flat, it then took 5 hours to charge!!!Now you can buy a fast charger that purportedly charges the battery in one hour, so it's nothing to do with the battery, why then supply such a pathetic charger with the item, why not a 2-3 hour charger, that is acceptable and you can upgrade if you wish to? Given that the battery really only has about 30 - 40 minutes of use time, I find that pretty rubbish of Worx to supply one that is basically so naff that you're almost certain to spend more on the upgradeThe second irk is why can you only rotate the strimmer one way? You can only turn the strimmer to one side when using as an edger, why not to either side as that would be so much betterThird is that when reading the blurb on this page, I got the impression that the wheels could be utilised in strimmer mode and they can't - unless I'm missing something? The wheels were pretty much the deciding factor in my purchase of this as due to upcoming surgery I m not supposed to put any strain on my neck, back and shoulder area afterwards for quite some time, I thought this would feature would help take the weight, which although not a massively heavy item, my arms were certainly feeling it after an hour or so and I'm no delicate little thing. And final niggle - the manual- it's not great, could be a bit more .... well just more !As I said at the start I'm unsure what overall score to give as the machine itself is pretty good, the power it has when battery is fresh is great, the telescopic handle is great, the command feed is great, the fact that you can re string it yourself is a plus, the multi or dual use it has should be great ..... it COULD be absolutely Brill, it's just really let down by the above points so I have to give a 2 or 3 star rating, I think 2 is too harsh so 3 it is

Great product
I was slightly sceptical about buying a battery powered lawn edger - I have a very big garden with a lot of edging to do. However, I can report that this is a truly excellent tool. It does exactly what you would expect and once you've had a bit of practice, it's really simple and fast! My edging used to take about 1.5 hours by hand but now I zip through and it takes 15 minutes. the battery has never died on me and I simply re-charge between trims, so it's always ready. 5 stars for this...excellent value too.

Really useful strimmer
I have quite a large garden which I cut mainly with a sit on, except for the twiddly bits. The twiddly bits have got larger over the years and although I have a petrol driven strimmer, for a 5ft 2 in woman it has always been quite heavy to use. This Worx Strimmer does the job beautifully. I was concerned that it would not be strong enough to cope, but it more than copes. It sailed through overgrown nettles, trimmed flower bed edges and cut bits I'd have normally had to use my electric mower to tackle. It's light, having two batteries, one in and one charging makes a lot of difference as well. So light, easy to assemble, easy to use, very happy.

Great
I'm not the most enthusiastic gardener and don't want to spend much time on maintaining it. However, I do like a mown lawn.I bought a Worx cordless lawnmower because I was tired of using my corded one and having to move the cable around to avoid cutting it (I did actually do this and had to fix it - no joke). That has saved me a lot of time but it did not do the edges.I was delighted to learn that Worx made a whole range of appliances and that they all used the same power supply. I have now purchased this strimmer and am amazed how much cheaper it is buying without a power supply than it is with one.It has been used once and did the job very quickly and efficiently. It is easy to use and it is lightweight. Regarding battery life, I have no complaints. Some have commented that it is not very long but for my purposes of a quick strim round my front and back gardens after initial mowing, it is more than adequate. So I'm happy with it.

Exceeded expectations
Easy to set-up & use, light weight, batteries each last around 20 minutes. Works well for simple lawn edging, both horizontally & vertically. But surprisingly good at tougher requirements - we have a public footpath at the side of our estate, which was very overgrown & difficult for me & particularly our dog to negotiate for our walks. Using the WORX WG 163E I cut down around 100 metres of overgrown grasses, fern, even brambles to clear a path for easier access, exhausting both batteries, photo attached - the WORX did well for this task, of course taking more effort & longer than a petrol strimmer, but for a light weight cordless I was pleasantly surprised at how well it did.

Worx - I wish it did !
Worx maybe is as we’ll know in the UK but I have a workbench and decided to buy this strimmer by Worx- oh dear - adjusting fromEdging to trimming you would think you’re going to break it but the main reason for me returning to Amazon is it worked for 30 seconds then the line wrapped itself around itself. I did the line 20 seconds later, same result- sent back. I then spoke to Worx who said I must have a bad one- I decided to try again so purchased the second time and hey presto the same result- packed back up and returned to Amazon the second time- will buy a Flymo as previous lasted 10 years.
