Works really well. Secure. Sturdy. I recommend it.

I tried the non-charging version of this for a trip and it was pretty handy for use with my Pixel 7 Pro Peak Design phone case, though it was unable to fit in the vents in the center of the rental car, it did work well on the left vent by the turn signal lever. I returned it and got the charging version though, thinking that would be better for when I upgrade my phone to one with Qi2 at some point. Unfortunately the charging version of this mount has a much weaker magnet connection; possibly due to how the charging element works. You have to be much more accurate with your placement of the phone onto this because it doesn't auto-align as cleanly and strongly as the non-charging version. On the pixel 7 pro, the wireless charging is a bit slower than battery drain if screen is on with google maps. this may be better on a newer phone but it's something to note if you have an older phone. Unfortunately, this mount broke the vents in my 2004 Prius in about 1.5 months of being mounted. It seemed secure and fine, wasn't cinched down to the extreme, but I applied my phone to it and the vent slat snapped, so they're all just loose in there now. Really a shame because the design seems really good and maybe is the best vent mount out there, but once you use it in reality, there's lots of little problems; such as how the knobs are not knurled so they are tough to turn well. I regret that I didn't simply replace the one broken part on my rock solid iBolt dashboard mount for $10 or whatever it costs because now the AC vents of my car are broken and that's way more of a pain to get a replacement of. I'm also hesitant to use it on a rental car now because with how cheap and low quality materials in cars are nowadays, some tiny little plastic pin for the vent could snap and that would be a hassle to deal with.

we have had 3 different ones. the first was purchased about a year ago and is sturdy as all get out. the two we have purchased since have been loose and faulty in different ways. way too much money for that kind of unreliability

Le support est d'une grande qualité et le système de fixation sur la ventilation est stable et solide. En revanche, l'aimant n'est pas assez puissant. J'avais déjà un support de la marque ESR qui un produit chinois en plastique mais l'aimant était beaucoup plus puissant. Je renvoie le support. A ce prix, j'en attends plus.

I had recently bought myself a snazzy Peak Design case for my new iPhone 15 Pro, with a view to getting a car mount a little further down the line. What I hadn't done is research the price of them, and I was initially a little taken aback by the cost when I began looking on-line. However, the price on Amazon seemed to be the most wallet-friendly for a model with Qi2 wireless charging. Initial impressions are that's it's a well engineered, well packaged piece of kit. I spent some time playing around with different ways of mounting it on the car vents to give the preferred positioning of the phone whilst driving, but got there in the end (you can install the mount either way up, I had to swap it around to achieve the desired height which was fine). The fitting instructions were straightforward. There are two knobs, one which looks the curved grip that attaxhes to the vent blades, and one which tightens or loosens the rotating arm. I am finding that I need to re-tighten the latter every now and then, but it's not been too much of an annoyance. The kit includes a USB type C cable, but my car (as most do I would imagine) only has a type A socket, so I did need to use a separate Type A to Type C adapter. A lighter socket adapter IS included, if you don't have any USB sockets at all. Of course, this does mean that you've got a thin cable going from the the USB socket to the side of the mount, but helpfully there are several stick-on cable guide clips that helped to make the cable less of eyesore and prevent it getting in the way. The charging element seems to work fine, although it is very slow to charge. I expect this may be down to the output of the USB sockets on the car, rather than any issue with the mount itself. The magnetic attachment seems to work well, you do need to hit the right spot for it to attach securely so care should be taken to make sure it's secured before letting go of the phone! Once in place, I had no concerns about it staying securely, it seemed really fixed in place. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Sure, it's fairly pricey, but so was the phone case and the phone and I think that you are getting quality for your money.

STARTED OUT OK BUT ENDED UP DIFFICULT AND DOESNT TIGHTEN LIKE IT SHOULD NOW

Love this, great for my iPhone. Portrait or landscape, easy to add to car. Easier in some ways than other offerings from Peak Design. Would recommend if you have Peak Design phone case or Peak Design universal adapter.
