Great Bullet Planner/Journal in AB Travel Organizer
I bought these notebooks in the dot grid 3 pack. I picked them as the covers are quite thick rigid board material and they can really hold themselves together without a travelers notebook cover. I just wanted to try out the size as I was thinking about ordering a travelers notebook, but this insert fits perfectly in the Amazonbasics travel organizer. This way I can have a nice zip shut journal cover and it can hold pens, extra cards, my excess cash, etc whithout having to shill out all the money for Travelers notebook accessories that can really add up in price fast. The organizer is also fairly stiff so along with the back cover of this book there is no flexing issues when righting mid air. I also used some braded fishing line to tie a bookmark to the binding staple to allow this to be a stand alone journal. My only constructive criticisms is I would love to see this with slightly rounded corners on the open edge, but I suppose I could cut that off it bothers me bad enough. The paper is good. You can see it is a softer light tanish color which I prefer over stark white. The paper seems of good quality. I wrote in it with both the Sharpie pen fine tip, and Papermate Flair Medium both in black. You can see it through the paper, but both of these pens are felt tip and lay down a lot of ink and a darker line than other pens. It doesn't affect the ability to write or read the back of the page, you can just visually see some light shadows through the paper a version with thicker paper/less pages might be good for those concerned with shadows. Would recommend for use as a productivity planner, but maybe a different version with heavier paper for artistic type journals and such.

Fountain Pen Review
Fountain Pen Users like me can be pretty snobby about paper. We don't want to be but if you have a juicy medium pelikan m800 or something laying down major ink, you'll chew through most paper. My problem is I have a love for papery paper. What I mean is paper that feels like paper. Feels like good absorbent uncoated paper. But paper like that will usually suck up Fountain pen ink and soak through. So, so that is why I and many other fountain pen users owned apica premium paper, clarifontaine, rhodia, midori/travelers company, tomoe river, and a long list of others. I love many of these papers and many ways , but the one thing they don't feel like is regular old paper. Travelers company or Midori as it is makes great paper because it is not too thick, doesn't feel too exotic and holds ink well.I don't know what motivated me to buy this grid paper . I don't know the brand I don't know anything about it. And I didn't expect too much from it but I thought at least I could use an extra fine Eco or something like that on it. I opened it up and stuck one of the inserts in my Travelers notebook and ran my hand across the page . It felt wonderful . It has a nice absorbent feeling to it. A nice texture. It's nothing like glassy smooth anything coded. This may sound dumb but it feels kind of homey and nostalgic. I thought to myself wow that feels great there's no way this is going to take my wet pens. It does . It's great. It's not doing it through being insanely thick either . It's definitely a hefty page but it is not overly thick. For its weight it shouldn't accept as much ink as it does with zero ghosting. I don't mind ghosting I just mind bleed through but there isn't even ghosting with a juicy m800 medium with carbon black ink. I have shaky hands so the feedback is nice.Fit. Well, it's wider than a travelers company insert by a couple millimeters. It's clearly wider if you put the insert in with a travelers inserts next to it. It's not functionally a problem but if you're like me you may get an exacto knife and a steel ruler and slice slice by slice through the whole insert to make it a little narrower. Only downside. Honestly though it is sometimes nice to have the extra width even though it's just a slight amount. If the width was identical to Travelers company I would buy handful of these . I will buy more but, idk

I think this is a great dupe for the Hobonichi weeks. There’s plenty of pages and the paper quality is pretty good. My fountain pens write well on the paper
