Bought this to bring my iPad mini on holidays and still be able to write/work when needed. It honestly worked quite well. Only thing they could add is a flip out stand on the back so that it doesn't tip over. I didn't find this to be a huge hinderance, but on some surfaces, it wasn't super stable. Battery life was far better than expected. Being able to reprogram some keys would also be handy since some of the special characters would be nice to change.

Pictured next to a 2020 13” MacBook Pro. It works seamlessly with the iPad mini, turning it into a mini MacBook. There are a lot of tasks I don’t want to break out a laptop for but having no keyboard makes the iPad suboptimal. I usually end up just spending more time and dealing with the iPad. This keyboard solution is really great as it gives me a full keyboard AND a touchpad. It’s not Apple quality but it’s very good. The backlight is handy. I wish it was more flush and didn’t have a pen holder. Actually I’d love for it to lose the swivel function and just have two smaller sturdier hinges, but this is the best option I’ve found. I don’t know why you’d use the pen with a keyboard and touchpad but maybe it’s just my use case where I wish the pen holder wasn’t there. Anyhow, I bought it used but like new for less than $40. At $60 it’s a tougher sell for me because I have a MacBook Pro, but I think for those who need a keyboard with their iPad it’s awesome.

typecase Keyboard Case for iPad Mini 7 (2024) & Mini 6 (2021) - Wireless Case with Keyboard for iPad. I just bought the newest iPad and wanted a keyboard that was not on the screen I looked around and read the reviews and decided on the typecast because it had the most positive reviews. I'm not proficient on the tech devices but I do like the ability that these devices offer. I'm a slow learner on the tricks and shortcuts but basically I can get by with general knowledge. So based on my ability I really like this keyboard. The back light is nice, the sensitivity on the track pad is fine and the keys are nicely laid out so I can prettywell type what I need to without too much trouble, Auto correct helps with the punctuation so I like that. The Case supports the Ipad very nicely and is stiff enough to keep the Ipad in place where you want it. The case also protects the iPad and the pencil as well. Connection via bluetooth was simple and charging is a breeze. It does shut off the iPad when closed but the Ipad is still powered up so when shutting down I power off the Ipad and shut off the keyboard and that works just fine. This is a really nice case in my opinion and I would recommend it to a friend.

I thought having a keyboard and case for an iPad mini would be a great travel device- even better if it had lte. I was wrong. At least with this case. The plastic creeks and noises opening it were not great. It was lessened when an iPad was in it. But once in use the hinge was strong but not great. Opening the hinge past an airline tray angle would result in it falling back on itself due to the bulk of the weight being in the iPad. The keys were small and not landing where a MacBook keyboard typing goes. Of course it’s smaller than a MacBook. But it was not natural. Mouse was good. I’m not sure if an iPad mini has the setup for a good keyboard/mouse combo. But for $51 used this was not the price point for the product for me.
