Just the right size with 7 ports. also like the fact that the usb ports are facing up. much easier to make the connections. works with my external hard drives, no problems.

This compact 7-port hub works beautifully, allowing me to move between flash drives quickly and effortlessly. It is sturdy and has a long enough cord that I can easily tuck it behind my laptop. Loving it!

I needed to hook up a bunch of USB drives to my Mac mini as I use them for archiving data. This hub offers lots of ports to plug these in and seemed to be working fine with the three drives I've attached so far. I wasn't too concerned about speed, I just didn't want to have to swap cables around because I was out of ports.

Updated Review: The hub DOES work! I had written before that the hub stopped working after a few months, but I recently found out that that I was pulling too much power through the hub and it was shutting down. The hub actually has a small USB-C port on the end to plug in a USB-C cable (plugging it into a USB-C port on the computer) and it supplies all the power needed to run all 7 ports at one time. I only wish they had made that clear in the original description, because I didn't know to look for the port, thus I am reducing the 5-star rating down to 4-stars.

This unit is great to have on my desk next to my computer monitor. It is really handy to plug attachments in.
