I've been using the mutekit setup with the light and the little keyboard for a while now, and I have to say, it’s made my work-from-home and office life a lot easier. The light is super bright and customizable, so I can always let my co-workers know when I’m on a call and avoid those awkward interruptions. It's visible from pretty much any angle, which is a big plus in a busy office. The mini keyboard is great too, with its light-up buttons making it really simple to quickly mute or unmute my mic and camera. Being interrupted by co-workers while explaining something important over Zoom and losing all my credibility because my mic was muted was getting really annoying. Now, with the app on my Mac, I don’t have to worry about that anymore. Everything syncs up perfectly, so I always know when I’m live or muted. If you value privacy and not being a distraction to others during calls, this setup is definitely worth it. It's worked wonders for maintaining my professional presence during video calls, especially when talking to co-workers about social media marketing.

Brilliant! The custom colors work really well, I set mine up so that “On = Red” and “Off=Green”. I had to find advanced settings to setup the “Off” colors. At home or at the office, everyone knows when they see red, I am in a meeting and they can determine if my mic and cam are on. The individual indicators make me so much more productive. When my Mic and Cam are off, my secretary knows she can ask a quick question. If my Mic is on and Cam is off, she can walk behind my desk to grab a file. I like the software, you can position it anywhere and change its size on the screen. It is easy to use. If you have a company owned computer, you may have to call your IT support to get it loaded, as the app is required to work the mute light and mute button. I used to have a light that was Red when I was in a meeting, Green when I was not in a meeting and Purple when I wanted to be left alone. I always had to coordinate this via my calendar and found it was just another thing for me to forget. With On Air Warning, it’s all automatic, enter a meeting and the center light turns red, mic/cam on – they turn red – exit or mute and the correct light turns green. I have impromptu meetings all the time and the single light solution didn’t work for me – this product is great! I am giving it 4 stars because it would be better if it was wireless and some people might not be able to install the software on a locked down company machine.

This app and product are excellent to use when video conferencing. I hooked mine up last week and tried it out for the first time during a long Zoom call with fellow Board Members. Specifically, what I think I liked the most was the "Auto Selfie" function. When I had to excuse myself from the call for a minute or two, my picture was still on the screen rather than showing me leave the call. Just press the button on the app and viola, you are all set to get up and stretch and no one on the call can tell! Another feature I really liked was how easy it was when my wife came into the room to ask me a question during the call--I could easily & quickly press the mute button so she could ask me a question or tell me something and it didn't interfere with my call at all. With the device attached to the side of my monitor, she could easily see whether I was on mute as the microphone (on my screen and the device) had a line through it or if the camera was off a line was through the camera icon on my screen and device attached to the side of my monitor. If I were still working in an office, I could see me using this app and device all the time as it would easily show my co-workers that I was in the middle of a video call. At home, it's still going to be effective, even though there are only two of us at home most of the time. The installation and setup were also very simple. I highly recommend this product for anyone who uses Zoom, MS Teams, etc. on even a semi-regular basis. The designers of this tool and app did a great job making it functional and so very easy to setup and use.

I have worked from home for a few years now and love it but with kids always coming in my office ( especially during summer) I needed a way to let them know I was on a call. I stumbled upon the on air warning from the recommendation of a friend. It came in quick, the setup was easy, and the product just works. I ended up going with the vertical mount version and was able to mount it on the outside of the door. The kids get a kick out if the light makes them think dad is a radio star. I would recommend this product for anyone with kids, and works at home A+, good product. Also, the software has a function i can take a pic while i'm setting at my desk and walk away for a sec, did it today in my weekly meeting and no one even knew I stepped away for a sec. I was impressed with the light itself but the features in the software takes it over the top.

Working from home with kids was a nightmare and this light is making it easier. I had it on my desk at first but then I bought a 30’ extension cord and mounted it at the bottom of the basement stairs. Now they see the lights as soon as they open the basement door, before they start yelling. I set the lights as bright as they would go and turned them all red for stop! Now that we moved the light to the stairs, I am thinking of buying another for my desk, so I can see it, but I do like the on screen mute button and that’s always right in front of me. It’s great to have the automatic light when I enter a meeting and one set of mute buttons that works for Teams and Webex. I did have a problem setting up the app but their tech support responded quickly. Turned out that I didn’t read the help screens and forgot to select a default camera. I got what I paid for and look forward to trying the other features.

I do a lot of podcasts over the Internet and it is sometimes inevitable that someone comes in the door when I'm on air. And some people think that if they whisper the microphone won't pick them up. So wrong. Well, this little device provides a solid indicator that I'm On Air with both video and audio. Just plug in the USB and download the software. Easy setup. I can adjust the brightness and color of the lights, along with how the layout looks. The software also provides a overlay on screen for easy muting of both audio and video that always stays on top of my screen. But you may have to change the hotkeys for that to work depending on your video streaming service. They all seem to use different button combos. But other than that. This little light does it's classic job. It's a little pricey for it's simplicity but if you are like me and disturbances have been an issue in the past. It is well worth it. I do wish the light was wireless or something so I could put it outside my door when I'm working. I will probably just add in a long USB cable at some point for that purpose.

I extended the On Air Warning status light using a USB extender cable and mounted it outside my office door. Now, my coworkers know when I'm in a meeting without any interruptions. The customizable colors and clear indicators for mic, camera, and meeting status are fantastic. Setup was a breeze, and it works seamlessly with Zoom Meetings/Phone and Microsoft Teams. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a seamless device! We will definitely buy more for additional offices.
