A Blast from the Past
Quite expensive for what is an Aussie version of a Penguin but that said, the chocolate covering is so tasty and consequently moreish! A real blast from my past in Australia so is good for a treat buy rather than a regular buy

We first had a Tim Tam in new Zealand, OMG, so delicious!!! Every time any relatives came over from NZ, 1 suitcase was full of them! Now we don't have to wait, we can order them online!!

Great, but not as perfect as they used to be..
I grew up eating the wonderful creations that are Arnott's Biscuits = the Best Bikkies in the World. TimTams were my third favourite, after Chocolate Mint Slice and Chocolate Sticks. Both now renamed, but still lush, last time I visited home and hit the supermarket. Also adored Lattice Biscuits but they seem to have disappeared off the market. Feeling a little homesick, I decided I had to have something from home for a Christmas treat - and the only one that would arrive on time was TimTams. Arrived on Christmas Eve - fresh and in perfect condition = nothing broken. Brilliant. Inhaled the first pack within the first half an hour. They were very good. BUT not as good as I remember. That little extra special, sparkly element of post-bikkie satisfaction was missing. Maybe they've changed the recipe - maybe I've changed - I don't know. But the extra magic has gone from TimTams for me. Don't get me wrong, they are still great - and they are still better than 99.9% of UK chocolate biscuits, but they are not the ultimate perfection that they used to be. That 1% perfection = Tunnock's Caramel Wafers, for UK produced goodies. For Oz, i HOPE it's still Chockie Mint Slice. They are on my wish list for next time..
