MAJOR Original Strength Heartburn Relief - Famotidine Tablets, 10 mg - Acid Reducer - 60 Count

I have been using this product since 2021. It has worked great for me!

I actually purchase this for my dog since she has IBS. At the recommendation of our veterinarian I give my 10 lb. ShihTzu/Maltese mix one-quarter of a 10 mg tablet, twice a day. Prior to administering this medication, my dog would vomit about once a week and occasionally have diarrhea. Over the last few years she threw up once, and that was after getting a vaccination, and has not had diarrhea.

I buy these for my cats with kidney disease. The price is great & I like that they come in a bottle instead of the little blister packets. I have to cut them in half though, and they aren't as "crispy" as other brands, so they crumble a little.

I use these for my dogs when they have to take antibiotics. This keeps their stomachs from getting upset and prevents vomiting. These are a low dose generic version of Pepcid that comes in a small bottle. Great for a first aid kit or for traveling.

We actually get these for the pup 🐶 (7yrs) hes a little pomchi (Pomeranian Chihuahua mix) named Gizmo, he has stomach issues, the vet suggested he take half 10mg 2 x daily for his body weight (just under 10lbs) He doesn't seem to mind the taste. Gizmo (that's who he looks like lol) does well with this brand we just crush the half n rub it on his gums and make his food he's a happy lil guy.

I purchased this particular acid reducer because the picture clearly shows an oval shaped pill. When using famotidine tablets for an animal you often have to get the 10 mg and split them in half. Oval-shaped tablets are much easier to split in half when they are this small. There are even reviews stating that this is an oval shaped easier to be split which is why I purchased it as you can see in my picture it is not at all like what the picture shows.

It is hard to find 10 mg tabs of famotidine ... that also will cut in half easily! I give this to one of my dogs daily to prevent stomach upset in the evening. I also give it to visiting dogs that sometimes get gastric issues when first staying someplace new to them (I do in-home boarding of small dogs).

It is hard to find this dosage of this medication in local stores. And the price was great. I can't quite say about flavor or how well it works because we use it on our dog. On the vet's recommendation! :)
