Great kit, but don't use the online pdf instructions.
Model A Deluxe Coupe kit. This kit was fun to build and looks great. Caution: When I started building this, I went straight to the website to download the pdf so I wouldn't have to deal with the booklet. I got quite frustrated because according to those instructions, I was missing quite a few parts. I worked around the missing parts and got about 60% done before realizing I was looking at an older instruction with USB powered lights. The revised kit has a battery powered light box which means several other parts are changed in the new instructions. Using the included booklet, I had no issues or missing parts (but I did end up having to disassemble much of my progress to fix things). The wheels are also a little loose but I placed a piece of tissue on the wheel before fitting on the axle and it helps make a tighter fit.

Pieces do not connect well
I really thought my husband would love this item since we have several Model A Ford's. Was I mistaken!! Right from the start as he put pieces together, they fell apart. As he continued it got worse. He was constantly putting pieces back on. He really wanted to finish it. He is now 3 weeks into it, and is having to glue pieces together, just to keep the car from falling apart. As I write this, he is still trying to finish it, and trying to remember where the fallen pieces belong. Without taking it completely apart and starting over there is no way it will be complete. I would not recommend this for any age. Definitely not Lego. Instructions are decent, with pictures. Pieces just do not connect well.

Patience Required!
The Good: it looks super cool once assembled. The lights are a great touch. The Bad: incredibly fragile. Pieces fall apart very easily and it's a bit maddening to assemble. I'd highly recommend glueing - ESPECIALLY THE HINGES! The Ugly: No logic in how the pieces are bagged... they may have well just put all the pieces in 1 big bag. Bottom Line: if you're patient, and use glue on the loose pieces, it's a very cool looking old car!

Not a pleasure to build
Actually, after building the car I'm reviewing my review. This is a difficult car to build, but not for the apparent reasons. The individual pieces are hard to put to put together, but fall apart if you manage touch them. Without any exaggeration, I spent more time rebuilding the car than actually building it. This aspires to be Lego but is not. And it's not just the small pieces that gave me trouble. The car doors fall off if you are not careful on how you touch them. The rear fenders must have fallen apart ten times or more. I actually ended up glueing the parts to keep them in place. The basic pieces are hard to fit together, come loose easily unless you need to pull the apart and then they require enormous effort to separate, which seems a contradiction in terms The other troubling thing is that so many pieces are missing. If it hed not been for my grandson's HUGE bag of Lego pieces I would not have been able to build it at all. It's too bad the parts are so hard to work with, because the design of the car is so great. However, I think I'll stick with lego from now on.

Too much trouble and need lots of glue.
There are two kits. The early kits were really bad. Taped in pages within the manual and missing parts. The later kits were somewhat more comprehensive. They had tweezers to help install the light cables to the battery. However, it still falls apart very easily. Have lots of glue available for door hinges and hood. It took me just as much time to reassemble falling parts as it did to complete the kit. The lights work well, but very hard to recharge the battery without everything falling apart. Don't waste your time with, JMBricklayer. The submarine was much worse. Stick with Legos.

Great vintage car!
Great little set! Very happy with what I received. Would recommend taking time to build it as it can be quite fiddly. Instructions are okay but can be improved. 1 part missing being the pad printed licence plate but not a huge deal. Overall very happy and would recommend this set.
