What grain is this malt made from?

That's a great question. Briess Golden Light is made from pale barley malt and 1% Carapils dextrin malt. Thanks!

is this bag repackaged from a distributor or straight from the Briess factory?

Thanks for shopping. Briess uses several major distributors to distribute their products. These distributors purchase in bulk and then package the product for retail or wholesale sale. Each retailer may use more than one distributor. Therefore, the particular distributor that is used is dependent on which retailer you purchase from. Also, since retailers may use more than one distributor, this could also vary depending on each retailer's current supply.

is it good to make pretzels?

Unfortunately, I can't answer you. I ordered the dry malt as a backup to the malt syrup, which I needed for Nigel Slater's Christmas malt loaf.

Is this product a diastatic malt?

From a web search, Briess Concentrated Brewers Worth (CBW) Dried Malt Extract (DME) is non-diastatic.
