I love this product. It’s so fast and reliable. It detects and solves problems on its own. It’s also very secure. There is no band splitting so if you need to set up a smart device on this Google mesh router system you need to follow these steps. 1. Unplug your Google WiFi. 2 on a mobile phone create a hotspot with the same name and password as your Google WiFi. 3 with a second phone connect to the hotspot and also connect the smart device to the hotspot that has the same info as your Google WiFi. 4 after you have completed the set up for the smart device just turn off the hotspot on the phone and plug back in your Google WiFi. Your smart device will now connect to Google WiFi. After the easy set up you will now see your 2.5Ghz smart device through the 5Ghz Google WiFi. The four pack covers my entire property. I have great signal strength anywhere I go on my property. Google WiFi is compatible with Google home as well as many other devices and apps.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!! The mesh system sends messages to the devices and forces the device to interpret the location of the router and points. However, the wifi adapters in most devices can not interpret the position information and the devices frequently choose a far away points causing the signal to be very weak or get dropped all the time. I will trash this and never buy Google Networking products.

We have a Xfinity Gateway router in the living room that puts out amazing speed bridged to the Pro and then three more running along the long hallway to the Theater room which is on the opposite side of the house. The previous generation worked adequately and was stable, but I was always disappointed at the speed degradation. This latest generation solved that. I'm getting two to three times WiFi speed in the Theater Room from the previous generation. Set up was more difficult that in needed to be, probably my fault though. Even though I'd unplugged and removed the prior Google Mesh it was still showing up in My Google Home app and causing issues with the setup of the new one. Chat GPT helped me figure out I had to run a factory reset in the app to the unplugged offline old mesh to clear it out for the setup of the new one. Also, removed one star because they changed the ethernet port orientation in the new one. The old one, recessed, and pointed up which was conducive for the plug to fit inside the unit and running an ethernet chord along the based boards down the hallway keeping the unit flush to the wall. The new one points directly into the back of the unit so the ethernet plug sticks out the back and you have to bend the chord, causing a gap between the unit and the wall being pushed out by a ethernet plug, chord set up. It doesn't sit flush to the wall.

Great product and fantastic service from seller. Prompt delivery and it arrived in perfect condition. Was quick and easy to set up and within minutes we had exponentially faster and stronger WiFi around the house for our computers, tablets, gaming systems, and cell phones. Two people who work from home in this house and lots of wifi items so we needed a stronger signal and this supplied it! Recommend to anyone who wants to boost speed and a great price.

Very mid, compared to Google Wifi, the positioning of the nodes was a big challenge due to 6e and I am not seeing a big jump in speeds even with that extra effort. I also greatly dislike how the nodes are managed in the Home app, which I used to love. The new interface is lame as you can only see the parent node and a notation of how many nodes are attached. I liked to know which devices are connecting to which node. In the end the price point might be market, but I got more bang for my buck with Google Wifi and it feels like a downgrade. I recognize that this is mostly a 6e issue, but I really thought that a mesh would improve my 6e experience and it did not.

Works great and was easy to setup. I placed the device as far away from the main router as I could based on the ethernet cord length and named it the same along with password as the main network which makes it seamless for devices to switch depending on the best reception.
