Ultra Finishing SA30049 Thermostatic Cartridge, Bronze

I fitted this as part of a complete refurb of my Beaumont twin-valve shower. Result? My shower works properly for the first time ever... From new, my shower would not offer any adjustment in temperature, and also wouldn't respond to fluctuations in water delivery temp from other taps and appliances being used in the house. Since the shower was brand new, I stupidly put this down to the hot water deliver temp being less than the recommended 60oC, even tho' I didn;t know if this was the case or not; I simply accepted it. 10 years later and I've finally replaced the cartridge - to find myself with a proper working shower for the first time ever! Full control over temp! WOW! Responds to twits turning on taps and flushing loos! BLIMEY! And all at a very reasonable price.

I have been looking for a Thermostatic Mixer Cartridge for our Hudson Reed Traditional Mixer for over a year, but out of stock everywhere and at least twice the price. I even considered replacing the whole mixer but they are over £500 for a similar unit. Very easy to fit and replace old cartridge. Can’t fault it, very high flow rate and easy to adjust to perfect temperature. Great Product!!

This valve replaced the seized original one and was a 20 min fix by plumber. Works well and thermostatic temp control restored.

The original cartridge began to stick to the point it was almost impossible for the kids to change the shower temperature. Despite the company I bought the shower from clearly stating it had a ten year warranty, they refused to do anything about it. I was shocked to see a replacement cartridge was around £80. About two thirds the cost of the complete shower! So I found this on Amazon for half the price and gave it a go. Dead simple to install and it does the job, but not as well as the original. The water temperature fluctuates and the thermostatic control works, but not as well as the original. When someone flushes the loo the old one would reduce pressure to stop you getting scolded. This one tries to do that and, while it certainly doesn't boil you, the water is often too hot to stand under when the dreaded flushing-when-showering occurs. *** update *** After a few months of use I've changed my rating to one star and can say I regret buying this and wish I'd spent the extra on the OEM one. This worked OK at first but now it a) fails to regulate temperature properly. There are fluctuations with no other factors (hot water is from a tank. b) Is a nightmare to adjust. A one degree (i.e. tiny) of rotation to make hotter or colder can often result in a temperature change of 15-20 degrees C so getting it just right is difficult and c) It is now sticking. You can feel a definite tight spot in its rotation which was one of the main reasons I changed to this. I regret buying this. You do indeed get what you pay for.

Advertised as Ultra brand but it isn't. It came loose in a plastic bag. Brass is soft so the cartridge is scratched and marked and the cartridge is stamped Guoren which is a Chinese brand.

Right part, quick delivery

Just replaced an old cartridge, done lots of research and found that this may fit and it does perfectly. Temperature was stuck being too hot, this has solved the problem!

Hudson reed n'a pas été capable de me fournir la pièce d'origine. Trop ancienne. Celle ci trouvée sur Amazon convient très bien. Aucun problème pour le remplacement.

Top, j'ai pu réparer mon mitigeur de douche. Il est comme neuf pour le tiers du prix de la pièce chez le fabricant. Je suis ravie 🙂
