Was looking for this soundtrack
Danny Elfin and Tim Burton are longtime collaborators and they are pretty much in tune with each others wishes as to the sound and direction a movie should take. Danny's piano music for this Cd is worth its price. It is lovely and sadly associated with the eerie tales Tim Burton brings to life. That is why I bought the Cd for those piano pieces, which are wonderful to hear. Danny recreated the sound of the time period, a world without radio o TV or stereos. Music came solely from an instrument usually placed in the parlor of a home: a piano, an organ, a harp, a guitar or other plucked instrument waiting by a wall. I recommend it.. Listen to it as MUSiC, and you won't be disappointed.

Awesome buy!
Corpse Bride is my favorite Burton film and I have always loved the music in the movie. So much so I wanted to buy it. The price was good and the quality was great! Came in perfect condition not a scratch on the case or the CD itself.

As with so many other soundtracks, this one is somewhat disappointing outside the context of the movie, itself. BUT, it is good. What is notable about this CD are the extra tracks that run during the credits (I think). If you enjoyed the music during the movie, you will enjoy this CD. Whether or not you will enjoy it enough to warrant buying it is a different question; maybe not.

Coolness
Well it's Danny Elfman so obviously I could never give him anything less than a five. Like most music he has composed for Tim Burton films, the Corpse Bride soundtrack has a wintery, eerie, and haunting sound; creepy angelic choir and everything. My only complaint is I wish there were more songs with actual lyrics in them, like "According To Plan", "Tears To Shed", "The Wedding Song" and "Remains Of The Day." The purely intrumental songs are great too but those are my favorites. "According To Plan" is exceptionally catchy. I wouldn't recommend listening to it at all unless you can deal with it getting stuck in your head for about three days afterwards.

Enchanting
After viewing Corpse Bride ( which I bought by accident ) the score to the film was so enchanting and lovely I had to get the CD. Well worth the money. My only regret is the some of the soundtracks have vocals & I was hoping for all instrumental

But it was "as advertised" and some of them are very good.
Some of the styles are not what you might expect. But it was "as advertised" and some of them are very good.

I love the album and a must-have for any Danny Elfman/Tim Burton fan
For any Danny Elfman/Tim Burton fans, it has a beautiful composition and catchy tunes from the movie. Definitely a joy to listen, especially during October.

Lovely Melodies
I loved the film, (and have it on DVD) and I thought the soundtrack to the film was brilliant, so I bought the CD of the soundtrack to add to my collection. :-)Danny Elfman wrote some great melodies and songs for this film, (just like he's done for other soundtracks in the past)

Enchanting and funny
I bought this on the strength of wanting to have a recording of the two piano pieces and it is just wonderful, the elegaic pieces are deeply moving and the funny songs are delightful.
