Excellent Line
High quality line, especially for the price. Seasoned fisherman here - always spool my larger reels with Ande, Trilene Big Game, etc and this is very comparable. Extremely difficult to notice any differences. Smooth line and no issues casting long distance w/ spinning or larger conventional casting reels. Highly recommend.

Perfect for land-based sharking
Stuff is great. It’s extremely abrasion resistant and strong and I just can’t say enough good things about it, Especially the price. The pictures tell the tale, we weren’t even using the 150 pound, we used the same 100 pound monofilament to catch both fish back to back and safely release them. In land based sharking we need a line that can hold up to rubbing on sandbars for hours waiting for a bite and reef and rocks after the hook up and still be able to use Extreme drag pressures to get the fish in quickly and Elmax fits the bill perfectly.

breaks very close to or even above rated pound test
I purchased this line to match my custom blue surf fishing rod and reel and I am very pleased with the looks of the product. Quality of the line seems to be high as I was spooling my reel the line felt very smooth without many rough spots in the line to weaken it. I tested the strength of the line using a scale which I attached via a barrel swivel and a palomar knot. The other end of the line was wrapped around the handle of a 40 pound dumbbell and I tested it 3 times. In each test it was either very close to rated strength or it surpassed rated strength. 23.5- 26 pounds on the scale so it is very close to its rated lb test and way cheaper than ande or Berkeley pro spec. only complaint is that it is on the stiff side but that's normal for mono of this lb test.

Feels like excellent line, real smooth, nice casting with it, put it on my BPS 7000 reel, have not caught anything with it yet, but I have gotten snagged up twice and it's tough to break, I will update if needed, but so far I think it will work out with this line...
