Real like it - sad fine c3 hair blonde gray
I really do like this, I got the clear because I don’t want to/can’t change my color right now. I used to get highlights every 8 weeks and I have been growing out my hair, the bottom 3 inches of my hair is the bleached hair and I it is 70 times more unhealthy than my natural hair. This make my new hair growth so healthy and soft and shiny and it did help my sad ends too, but they are still scraggly and easily tangled. In 6 months my hair should be long enough to prune all the bleached sections off, I definitely will get another tub. Also I have very fine curly dark blonde hair (c3). It is also graying around the temple and throughout. I have thyroid problems and autoimmune disease so my hair gets the worst end of that, my ponytail is about half the size of what it is normally because every time they change medication I shed like a sheepdog. Basically my hair is difficult at best and usually dry. I try to use some kind of deep conditioning on it every three weeks.

Super black. Soft black
I put the soft black on bleach blond hair, it was SO black for like 4 or 5 washes then it had a green tint and it started to stain my grey section so I bleached it and it turned soooo green. Just an FYI it’s a pretty green but it’s very green, I lightened twice to get the lighter green in the last picture. The first two were the first couple days. My sister also used it and it did not take to her blonde hair, it just turned like forest/emerald green so I am assuming to get the dark black from it you’ll need porous hair.

Save your money
This review is specifically for the 5N /dark brown color Scent - same scent as other xmondo products. To me it is very jasmine perfume. I personally don’t care for the scent but some people love it. I can deal with it but could be a negative if you are sensitive to fragrance. Or it could be a huge plus if you love the scent Packaging - solid quality feel packaging. Nice wide opening allows you to easily access the product whether using a brush or hands. No need for color bowls. Value - I’d say this heavily depends on your hair. Short hair will probably get 3-5 uses. I have shoulder length hair and looks like I’ll get 2-3 uses. Longer hair may get one use or need 2 for really long hair. Feel - thick consistency. Nice that it’s not runny. You have good control over it. Like a thick conditioning mask Caution this WILL stain on contact. Make sure you are careful to cover the area you are working in and wear gloves. I have a dark tile shower but I would not be surprised if this would stain a white tub. I would def say have the bleach ready to go to clean up immediately. Color - obviously this will vary by person but here’s my experience. I have naturally dark hair (level 4). I also have some grey and bleached highlights. I have been trying to transition to a lower maintenance hair routine in the last 2 years and mainly using semi permanent color (professionally done). I’m not a stranger to dark hair. I’ve had level 3 color in the past (which for most people is essentially black). I am not a hairdresser but imo this is not a level 5 color as the name would imply. To me, getting my hair colored for 20 years on my base, this is a 3/4. It is very very dark, almost black. I’d strongly suggest doing a test strand if going too dark is a concern for you. There are a lot of green undertones so you will not have any warmth. Would I recommend? No. Do the test strand. For myself, I feel like I need something softer at this point. This color feels a bit harsh on me but it may be exactly what you’re looking for. Update - I tried the 5G color. Mistake! This has such heavy red tones that I look like red was my intended color. Extremely disappointed and will not be trying any more of these colors. I actually went to sally beauty to see if they had anything to help the heavy red brassy tones. Thankfully it’s semi permanent so I’ll be trying clarifying shampoo and blue shampoo to hopefully quickly reduce the unwanted color. Honestly the reaction when I told the lady I had used this said it all. Not recommended

I wanted to LOVE it, but it was just okay...
I wanted to love this product. I have wanted to try it for so long being a fan of the creator. I read that it said a single container could be about 2-3 applications. I assumed that meant for the average persons length and thickness of hair. I have above average length and thick hair! I figured it would be at least "one" full application for me. I ran out before I finished the top of my head. I was irriateted but, my fault. The consistency made it very loose, meaning it flung onto walls, dripped down my hair, and was just a mess! I have never had a messier product. It smelled fine, it went on kinda rough, not like a creme; smooth and moisturizing, but I could not comb my hair after application. The rinsing was my final straw. My shower was stained, horribly!! It was everywhere!!! I spent a good 40 minutes scrubbing my bathtub and walls and floors. And unfortunately there are still to this day (Dec. when purchased in Oct.) walls and spots that are stained brown. Subsequent shampooings also made a big mess until it fully washed out. Which to its credit was weeks later. (with twice a week shampooing). The best part was the color was gorgeous, it made my hair feel soft and nice. I wish I could recreate this product to not be so messy, and with the cost, I cannot justify purchasing 2 containers to cover my hair, every month or so.

Long lasting; even on regrowth
This stuff is GREAT. I’m naturally a 7n hair color, been dying it box dye black for YEARS and about 6 months ago decided to grow out the black hair and opt for something more natural, I recently applied this to my “virgin hair” and it’s just as dark as black box dye. I got the “blue black” and I will say, it is a true “blue black”. I was using Transylvania by arctic fox and it would wash out and turn the bath water blue, then purple, then green. This is straight up “blue” black. It sticks much longer to virgin hair than arctic fox and it smells AMAZING and I love how thick it is and that it comes in a tub that’s easy to just put a glove on your hands and dip your fingers in the tub and apply to your hair. No squeeze bottle to have to grab and squeeze once your gloves are covered In dye. I made ZERO mess with this dye as opposed to other dyes that come In squeeze bottles. I haven’t noticed any bleeding onto bedding or clothing. And the best part is your hair feels so healthy and soft once you wash it out! This is the best option for anyone with naturally light hair looking to grow out black box dye. No permanent damage from bleaching the color out and no lines of demarcation from just trying to grow it out without any dye at all. Once it’s all grown out you just keep washing and washing until all the hair color is gone.

Honest review and comparison agains Overtone Conditioning and Lime Crime Unicorn Hair Pigments.
I have long hair. I am 5'10", and my hair falls below my waist. My hair is quite thick and medium to medium-dark brown with golden undertones. The longer it gets, the lighter it becomes. I am not a fan of warm tones, so I usually dye my hair using cool or ashy shades. I also have white hairs, especially around the edges of my face. When I apply color-depositing masks, I usually leave them on for about 45 minutes to an hour before rinsing. Around 2021, I stopped dyeing my hair with permanent dye, which I used mostly in blue-black or dark ash brown shades. As my hair grew out, there was a significant tone difference between my natural hair and the dyed sections. That is when I started using color-depositing creams. The one that worked best for me was Overtone. It deeply conditioned my hair and was perfect for maintaining a smoother transition between my different hair tones. Once all the permanently dyed hair was gone, I began experimenting with different color-depositing creams. When it comes to the most long-lasting and pigmented option, Lime Crime Unicorn Hair has performed the best. The first shade I used was Chocolate Cherry, and it was honestly bad ass. It was a neutral-cool dark fuchsia, and it lasted quite a while. This dye even covered my white hairs; they turned hot pink, which actually made the look even better. It lasted about a month and a half before my natural tone started coming through. The downside is that it was not very nourishing. It did not damage my hair, but it also did not improve it. After the first application, it felt as if I had washed my hair without applying conditioner. My hair felt dry. Overtone, on the other hand, is very nourishing. It leaves my hair extremely soft and well-conditioned. Brushing my hair is very easy; the brush just glides through without any resistance. It truly works as a deep conditioning mask. The color applies well, but it does not last as long as Lime Crime. In fact, it does not stay highly pigmented for very long. It penetrates the hair fairly well and does tint my white hairs, but the color does not last as long on them. Now we have XMONDO, which falls somewhere between Overtone and Lime Crime. It does not make my hair as dry as Lime Crime, but I also do not find it nourishing. It does not condition my hair; it mainly just maintains it. After rinsing, my hair feels like I applied very little conditioner, and brushing was somewhat difficult. The pigment is definitely there, and I have mixed colors and experimented with them. It colors my white hairs quite well. I have used the Sapphire Blue shade, and my white hairs turned blue, which looked pretty cool. However, it does not last very long and washes out fairly quickly. I would say it lasts about the same amount of time as Overtone, but it does not wash out as quickly as Overtone does on my white hairs. Price-wise, I think it is worth it. Compared to Overtone, I would say you are paying for a similar product without the deep conditioning benefits. It is not as drying as Lime Crime, but it is also not as long-lasting. There is a balance there. XMONDO’s color-depositing masks are very fun to experiment with and blend extremely well. I did a two-tone look where the top part was blue and the bottom was hot pink, and it came out really well. It was very easy to use. The dark brown shade has a purple base, which cools my tone nicely. This is my go-to shade when I want something neutral without anything “funky,” per se. The only thing I really do not like about XMONDO’s color-depositing masks is the scent. They are way too strong. I have to apply them while wearing a mask to reduce the smell; otherwise, it gives me a migraine. It is a nice scent, just far too strong. That is the only downside. I give it 4 stars. I think it has potential. For me, if it were as conditioning as Overtone and lighter on the scent, it would be perfect. If it lasted longer, even better. That said, it is one of my favorite masks to use. I would rather use this than Overtone or Lime Crime.

Love the color
I have dark brown hair already so has more of a black tint with very minimal blue, but I honestly was going for that. It doesn’t drip, but it does stain pretty fast and pretty quick so if you have a white bathroom, I recommend it not doing it in there like I did. I think a hair dye brush would work good for the top of your head or else your scalp will be dyed blue until you shampoo one or two times. Also make sure you don’t get cheap gloves because my fingernails are all dyed blue. It does come out easier than hair dye. I will say that, but 10 out of 10 product. I will definitely be using it again. I did have to do a leave in conditioner afterwards, but my hair is prone to dryness. In my opinion, all this is worth it, I have used black box dye for six years on and off, and I felt like this process was easier and smelled a lot better and I really like the color.

My first ever Brad Mondo product...
Let me start by saying that I love Brad Mondo. I love watching all of his tutorials, reactions, etc and find them to be both entertaining and educational. I have been so badly wanting to incorporate some of his products into my hair care routine, such as his Forcefield Heat Shield, Hydrify Leave-In Conditioning Mist, Salty Sea Salt Spray, Wavetech Wave Setting Spray and Electric Rain Moisture Cream. I started writing my hair description in paragraphs, and that was way too long so I'm going to bullet point: Hair Type: I have ultra fine hair, it's like baby hair and while that's usually a flex ("Oooh, baby smooth skin!"), I don't feel like it is atleast when it comes to my hair. Hair Length: Down to my derriere. Hair Texture: Ultra curly and super tight wave patterns mixed. Curly Q's everywhere, especially on shorter pieces, and tight waves that end in curly Q's. It's a scary mess when natural. Hair Color: Dark blonde with once-a-year highlights. Moisture: Dry, very dry. Routine: Wash 1x week, lots of heat protectant, blow dry it out with blowout brush, either curling iron for waves or Le Duo into straightish waves. Finish with hair oil. So, finally we get to this product. A month ago, I got my annual highlights but I was lacking shine in my hair shortly after going to the salon. I was pretty bummed out about it for a few weeks and that's when I saw Brad Mondo's Clear Super Gloss treatment! I had the Christmas money to go ahead and splurge a bit on myself and ordered it right away! It arrived, I waited until hair washing day and followed the instructions. I washed my hair well, then dried it using cool/medium heat on low setting because I didn't want to put any product in since it reads "clean, dry hair" on the instructions. Opening the product initially, I thought it had a very subtle and pleasant scent. The texture was like a cream + gel mixture, and it's both silky and sticky. Very weird, but not a negative. Just is. I then got to work sectioning all my hair and completely coating every single strand. I started in my front fringe lengths, then went to the back to work my way back up to the front since my front fringe area was so dull. It took the entire container to coat my lengths. I went up to the roots in the top half of my hair because of the new highlights there. When it comes to value for money, I understand that the product itself costs money to manufacture, and also that MY choice to have extremely long hair IS going to cost ME more money to do things to it. With that in mind, a treatment like this covering my entire head of very long hair at least once is worth it. Most of the time I'd have to buy two of something, or if I ever box dyed my hair (hypothetically speaking, the only coloring or highlighting happening to this hair is from a licensed and insured hair stylist since 2010 when I bleached my own hair into mushy spaghetti) I would need at minimum, three boxes of dye. So, this treatment is worth the money in product coverage. I then used my tangle teezer brush to brush the product through my hair very, very gently and waited the 20 minutes before very thoroughly washing it out. I'm talking at least a 15 minute shower of designated rinsing with my detachable shower head. Remember, ultra fine hair and a lot of it. At first it was very thick to rinse, I had some slight concern but it did eventually rinse out well. This didn't bother me considering it's a glossing treatment - one should expect it to be a thick coating during the treatment process, right? Anyways, afterwards, I blow dried it and styled it into curling iron waves using all of my normal products. I am pleased to say that the visual effects were beneficial, my hair looks shinier than before. It also did not weigh down my hair anymore than it normally does on its own, again the "baby fine" curse that I battle using Sea Salt Spray and Dry Shampoo at my roots through the week. So why the 2 stars for a product that completely coats a massive amount of hair and does what it says it's going to do? Well, unfortunately for me, that subtle pleasant smelling product started smelling like fish and rotten eggs about 15 minutes after sitting on my hair. At first, it was very faint, but I also had my hair in one of my silk caps while it processed. The smell only worsened from that point on, through rinsing and styling. So even though I did achieve what it claims, I can't use this product again. It's been over a day later and my hair still clearly smells like fish and rotten eggs. I'm covering it with other heavily scented products to make it to the next wash day. I can't say with certainty if this foul smell will effect anyone else, though. In general, I already have a hard time just finding body soaps, deodorants, etc that won't make me smell like fish after mixing with my body chemistry. For example, I can use Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom body wash and smell great while Bath and Body Works At the Beach body wash makes me smell like a beached whale. The rotten eggs smell, however, is not a normal bad-mix-reaction scent for me. That's very specific to this product and myself. So bottom line: Product did what it says it's will do, but beware of a very foul odor that may or may not affect you. At least I look pretty if nobody gets too close to me to smell me?

INCREDIBLE for scalp health and hair colour
I had about 2 inches of dark root and faded red hair (from a combo of permanent and semi permanent hair dyes). Used this and for amazing results. The colour does fade obviously. I'm about a month down the line (5. Hair washes) and the colour is still visible. Side note: I've got psoriasis on my scalp and after using this product it completely disappeared for 3 weeks!!! An absolute amazing side benefit! It's such an enriching and conditioning product it did wonders for my scalps health.

Left a horrible film
Maybe it’s just my hair (fine and not highly processed), but this product left a horrible coating on my hair that made it look like it hadn’t been washed for a month. No shine. I had to wash and wash to get it out.

Good results
Only used it once so far but it went on nice and smoothly. Left it on for 20 minutes and when hair was rinsed and dried it felt distinctly softer.

Works way better than expected and smells great
I bought this even though my hair is a level darker than the darkest shade recommended, so I wasn't expecting much but it really delivered! I have naturally dark red hair that's been looking more brown and dull as I'm getting older so I thought I would try using this to punch up the red without it looking too unnatural. I'm so happy the result is exactly what I wanted. It smells amazing, my hair looks so nice and glossy and the copper shade is exactly what my cooling red tones needed. My only note is if you have thick hair, definitely take your time with small sections and brush it through. There's no way I would have gotten even coverage otherwise.
