I have tried several children’s toothpastes over the years, and this one stands out for both its formulation and overall usability. The vanilla cupcake flavor is a great choice because it is appealing without being overly sweet or artificial. It has made a noticeable difference in getting my kids to brush more consistently. One of the biggest advantages is the inclusion of 10 percent hydroxyapatite. This ingredient is known for helping remineralize enamel and support overall tooth health. It is reassuring to use a toothpaste that goes beyond basic cleaning and actively contributes to strengthening teeth. The paste itself is slightly thicker than average. Because of that, it may not last quite as long as some other options, but it also makes it easier for kids to apply and helps reduce mess during brushing. After a few weeks of use, teeth feel clean and smooth, and there has been no gum irritation or sensitivity. That balance of effectiveness and gentleness is exactly what I look for in an everyday toothpaste. Overall, this is a well formulated, kid friendly option that delivers on both taste and performance. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to other parents.

After switching from Boka Kids’ Strawberry Mango, my son & I both now use Happy Tooth (Vanilla Frosting flavor) Toothpaste, and have for just over a year. Our gums are now healthy and neither of us has had a cavity since making the switch to Happy Tooth 😄 Happy Tooth can be used by toddlers, kids, and adults. We used Boka Kids’ twice daily (for 6 months), in addition to flossing nightly, and during that time, a cavity developed, and neither of us had had a cavity in years. A simple search of their reviews shows there are over 300 1 & 2 star reviews, most of which are due to cavities developed (some say 5+ cavities, as well as developed gum sensitivity). We made the switch after learning about the cavity and then we were informed that Boka does not contain much Hydroxyapatite. Boka is not straightforward about their Hydroxyapatite percentage, but multiple resources speculate it to be only about 1% to 2%. Happy Tooth is straightforward, and contains 10% Hydroxyapatite from the earth, unlike Boka’s nano type, which is synthetic and crosses the blood-brain barrier. Happy Tooth is the kind to buy. AND it’s 3.4 ounces, so you can fly with it in your carry-on 😄 This toothpaste tastes great, cleans well, and I highly recommend it!

My daughter enjoys attempting to brush her teeth, but she’s not old enough to understand not swallowing, so it was important to have a non-fluoridated option. She hated the mint, which I now use, but this vanilla frosting flavor has been aces. She requests to brush her teeth now and even pats the ground so I “know” where to put her step stool. It’s a little pricey, but most toothpastes are if they aren’t from the drugstore and don’t have fluoride. I check her teeth pretty diligently and they seem clean, don’t have a lot of build up, and her breath is never icky. A tube lasts a long time and the ingredients are clean. I haven’t noticed any tooth sensitivity either, so all in all I find it well worth the money. I really like the mint and it gets my teeth clean without feeling abrasive or overly foamy. Will be re-purchasing!
