Great price and quality for soap stone holser

The soapstone pencils themselves are fine. Good diameter and length, and easy to sharpen with an ordinary manual pencil sharpener. They are great for shading and highlighting. However, the holder is non-functional. There's no way to adjust the soapstone in the holder after it gets shorter with use; the holder only accommodates full size cores. Plus the holder is very difficult to adjust, and it comes with no real instructions. However, as long as you don't drop the soapstone pencils (they break very easily), you can use the soapstone cores without the holder.

Great deal. Use for marking on dark surfaces, especially metal. This amount will last me forever. Made in the US. Solid mechanism.

This is a great value. It comes with 4 lengths of soapstone - unbroken. The collet holds the soapstone in place really well. It sharpens with a regular pencil sharpener. I'm using it to mark dark canvas fabrics. Works like a charm!

All of the soap stone was broken and the pen doesn't hold the stone...I want my money back
