Easy to install and comes with all the tools you need too. Tools aren't the best quality, but will get the job done. There are plenty of tutorials online and my 12yo was able to do the swap in about 10 mins for the pair of joycons. Our original controllers had the plastic latches that wore down over time and would not stay securely onto the switch.This replacement makes it click back like new and I don't foresee them wearing down... ever.The switch should have come with these in metal from the start. It took a year for them to wear down to the point that they no longer stayed on securely.

This kit worked great. If you plan to replace multiple sets I would recommend a better set of bits. It is fine for one or two sets but they are very soft so if you slip once you damaged the bit.

Obviously the switch latches are cheap little plastic messes. We all know this, one soft fall and those joycons are NEVER holding tight to the device again which, horrifying as the thing falling out of your hand is never something you want. I replaced the set in mine as I was swapping out my joycon to a custom shell and holy crap, worth every second of effort. The play you had with the plastic latches where they seem to kinda have wiggle, absolutely gone. Suddenly your switch feels like it's a solid cohesive piece. I truly love these so much that I took the second pair and put them in my aftermarket joycons. They were maybe a 10 minute install for each pair, the way these will stay latched to your device in a way you'd never see from the OEM clips, wish nintendo had thought to use these themselves. Highly recommend buying them, I honestly did not use their screwdriver too much but the one time i had to I was very pleased, I just am techy and happen to have a set of nicer screwdrivers that fit better in my hand. Quality overall is a 10/10 everywhere

All of the tools and instructions you need to replace your joycon latches. Only takes a few minutes and a bit of patience to replace. The metal latches are definitely MUCH more durable than the plastic ones on the normal joycons. This allows for a much better lock on the Switch console itself.The included tools aren’t the most robust or highest quality, but the price to performance for this product is insane and easily worth the investment. Easy recommendation.
