Good to cover up wall paint if upgrading from gen 2 nest thermostat wall plate
Covers the uneven wall paint from the second gen nest wall plate (we painted the wall when it was on and the new wall plate is too small to cover the old wall plate). Looks nice.

The cover is very solid and firm, and I have been using it for over 10 months with no issues.

Works well with 4th gen Next Learning Thermostat and the dimension is larger than the 2nd gen trim.
Just finished installing this with 4th-gen Nest Learning Thermostat without any issue. The holes are well fitting the 4th-gen Nest Learning Thermostat, and the overall dimension is slightly larger than the size of 2nd gen Nest Learning Thermostat so I didn't need to touch up wall paintings. Good product!

Works for me.
When I took off the previous thermostat, the wall a mess and the original plate was way too small. Because of the wallI had to finagle install it. It’s on there solid and it even matches the wall color.
