Very easy to set up and use! The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It works incredibly fast, and it doesn’t use nearly as much energy or cost as much to run as I thought it would. The remote control works perfectly. Absolutely worth it!

I have used an older A/C unit for about 10 years. I did not realize until using this unit how many advancements had been made in the A/C world. This unit is not the largest unit, but for me, that's a plus. It has no problem cooling a bedroom or other room of similar size very quickly. This unit is very quiet, as compared to my older one. Additionally, it uses significantly less electricity to keep the room cool. Lastly, it does not require a condensation drain in my case (in more humid areas, there is a warning that it can need draining). All of these things make it great for me, BUT it can also be controlled via a phone app, which allows you to connect to your voice assistant - which has really won me over. Bottom line: I am impressed enough with this unit to recommend it highly.

I'm really impressed with this little portable AC. First off its smaller than I thought it was based on the outside of the box it came in, and its not too heavy to carry upstairs by myself. The design is very modern and looks upscale with the front mounted display. Very intuitive operation via the remote control which has backlit buttons on it for use anytime day or night. They also made a little shelf to hold it on the back of the AC which is magnetic so the remote won't get lost - brilliant! The window panels are very versatile and adaptable to pretty much any window. The vent hose is better than any other portable AC I've ever owned! The others just use friction fit to hold it to the window and/or AC, but this one is totally different. There's a slot the hose slides into on the AC which locks into place and the window end of the hose has little tabs on it that latch into the hole on the window panel so it doesn't come apart either. About time someone designed a better way of attaching the vent hose! It was really easy to install the app on my phone and connect this to wifi. The app itself is very intuitive and useful, and you can connect it to Alexa as well for voice control which I have yet to try. I got a chance to test this during our first almost 90 degree day this year and it was very powerful and cooled the room down very quickly. And this is not a small room, its more than 20 feet long and probably 12 feet wide with south facing windows. The breeze could be felt on the opposite long side of the room and within minutes the room was getting more comfortable! And the sound was much quieter than I expected. I had the fan and cooling on max and it didn't even sound like the compressor was running! Very impressed with this unit, and I look forward to using it all summer.

This A/C came with everything I needed to set it up - a cord long enough to plug it in while still sitting it in front of my window for the exhaust duct to reach as well. The panel for the duct to block the rest of the window was well thought out too. That panel has a screw with a wing nut and metal plate that fastens a sliding panel together to adjust to the width of your window - I mean I thought it was pretty clever. I have 2 other small portable A/c's in my metal building - and this one is by far my favorite because it's been the easiest to set up. So, one of the reasons why i grabbed this particular A/c was because it said it recycles condensed liquid. Well, it has a decal on it about releasing liquid... oh well, we shall see about how often I actually have to do that won't we. I set this A/c up in the loft area of my metal building, because my other A/c generated LOTs of condensation. So I am hoping this A/c recycles most of it. Onward with the review - Set up was great - the unit looks very elegant - it's slightly smaller than I thought based on how heavy it was in it's packaging - I was surprised. Once I got it set up I turned it on - the display is easy on my eyes, very easy to read - not harsh as far as crazy bright. The controls are very easy to understand as well. I set the cool air down to 65 F and it was blowing cold very quickly. I'll be able to tell later in the season just how good it is but as of today I'm very happy with it. I hope it does recycle condensation like it says it does. Portable A/c s are a hot commodity in my metal building. The compressor engaged within 2 seconds of powering the unit on - VERY fast compared to my other 2 portable A/c's I have a VERY large metal building and I needed another unit.

We live in the Southwest Gulf Coast area, where we are prone to experience power outages from tropical weather events, strong thunderstorms, and even winter storms. Last year (2024), we experienced being without power for over 4 days, due to a Hurricane. Also, in 2021, we were without power for more than 4 days due to a hard freeze. Therefore, I am always looking for alternative ways for power, heating/cooling, and cooking. So this portable AC fits what we need. The AC came with a remote (Has glow in the dark pads) and a magnetic remote holder on top of the unit. It also has an easy to install window kit that includes panels that expand or contract in order to fit our windows. It is easy to move around due to 4 casters at the bottom, and it does have handles on the side so that it can be picked up if necessary (I say this because I placed it on a scale and it weighed just over 62 lbs). As far as performance, the digital display is easy to see, turned off in Sleep Mode, and has both a fan speed display and a current humidity display. I really like that it has a strong fan circulation, and started to cool within seconds after the compressor kicked in. There was some noise with the compressor and fan running, but the noise was only disruptive to watching TV or having a conversation when it was operating at the highest speed level. The actually AC has 3 ways to operate it: Manual touch controls, a remote, and the DREO App). I was particularly interested in the app because it offered a lot of extra features (The ambient room temperature reading, a cleaning reminder, and the ability to operate it with either Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant). I tested it with Siri, and it responded immediately to all of my voice commands accurately. Another feature that I really like about this machine is that it can be used as an AC, a fan, or as a dehumidifier. This dehumidifier is especially useful because we live in a climate where the average humidity is around 70%. This DREO AC is a really good product, and is exactly what we need in case of a power outage.
