Virgin Activated Charcoal Powder, Coconut Shell Derived, Food Grade, 16 Oz

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this activated charcoal powder, but Viva Doria totally exceeded my expectations. First of all, it’s super fine and high quality—you can tell right away it’s not some cheap, clumpy powder. I love that it’s food-grade and made from coconut shells, which feels more natural and safe for what I’m using it for. I’ve mostly been using it for detox and beauty purposes. I made a DIY face mask with it, and it left my skin feeling smooth and clean without any irritation. I’ve also tried brushing my teeth with it a couple of times a week, and honestly, my teeth look brighter already! It’s also been helpful for occasional bloating—just a little mixed with water does the trick. Yes, it’s a little messy (what charcoal isn’t?), but it’s totally worth it. Just go slow when opening and using it, and you’re good. This jar will last me a long time, and I’ll definitely be ordering again once I run out!

This is my go to for this charcoal powder. There is one ingredient and I have purchased it several times over the years. The quality has been consistent and the container lasts a very long time. I would definitely recommend

this is something everyone needs to have in their house. this is for emergencies. in case you or your child swallows something poison ...you drink this and it helps but always still go to the ER. i learned abt this when one of my sons ate half a bottle of baby aspirin. ER gave him this...so he wasnt damaged. like i said this is good to have in your home just in case.

I wish I'd been paying more attention when I read other reviews here which said the jar exploded when it was first opened. I didn't even see how that was possible, but now I do. Apparently the jar contained pressurized air which released when the jar was opened. A cloud of fine black dust was ejected in all directions from under the lid with a loud *POP!*, and a sink and countertop wound up covered with a thin layer of black powder which took about 30 minutes to clean up. I'm only deducting one star because it was actually rather entertaining to see that happen, and it made me laugh, especially after I had been warned here and hadn't taken the warnings seriously enough. The charcoal powder is of high quality and very competitively priced, so I'll just recommend opening the jar outside over a surface that doesn't have to be cleaned, and maybe wearing black clothing.

Works like a charm for those nasty stomach bugs! need to be mindful of dose depending on who you give it to. NO taste, a little gritty in the mouth. Can be messy, be careful

This product is a great value for my needs and is the only one out of the many I’ve tried that has actually helped. It is odd drinking something black but it is tasteless. It is a wee bit gritty but given the impressive benefits I have no plans to let that stop me. Highly Recommend.
