Actually works better that the original carb!
First off, I have a John Deere LA105 lawn tractor. I was hesitant to order this carb but it was so much cheaper than the over $100 Briggs & Stratton carb and the only real problem I had with my original one was the needle and seat for the float. Well and also the choke flap had gotten tight and would not release without a little assistance but that wasn't really a big deal. Anyway, I figured I'd just swap the bowl float assembly from this one to my original carb sense it was already adjusted and dialed in for my engine. Well then I got this carb and gave it a good examination and decided to go a head and just send it and see how it would do. I was surprised at how well it worked and now I have about 10 hours on it and it is still running strong without any bogging or flooding issues what so ever. The kit was very complete and even had parts that were not applicable to my setup but at this price point, its not a problem at all. I like it and will continue to run it as long as it will allow me to lol! Pro tip for anyone that isn't real engine or carb savvy, once you have your carb installed, adjust your fuel screw all the way in by hand and then back it out 2 full turns. give full throttle and start the engine. once it is running, dial the throttle down as far as it will go before trying to die. then turn the fuel adjustment in until it begins to get rough and then back it out half a turn. Then adjust the throttle stop until you can lower the throttle all the way down with the throttle leaver. Once you've got the idle where you want it and the engine is warm, depending on the time of year, if winter install the fuel mixture limiter knob as far to the counter clockwise position as you can and if in the summer, install it in the most clockwise position and you should be good to go. I gave 3 stars for ease of installation just because it does not come with instructions and most folks that don't know anything about mechanics or small engines will struggle to get it adjusted properly. I myself, had no problems at all and the install/adjustment only took me about 5 minutes and I was back to mowing my lawn again.

Nice replacement carb
Overall quality seems pretty good. Choke plate did fall out of position during shipping but was easily put back in place. Choke plate seems a little looser than the original but works fine. Throttle plate fits bore nicely. I reused the original fuel line. Linkage holes and fuel inlet are in correct locations. Carb ran great right out of the box and only required slight adjustment of mixture and speed screws. No leaks at all. Shutdown solenoid connector fits perfectly. Each piece of power equipment is different (I put this carb on a John Deere L105 lawn tractor) but I had no trouble with the choke actuator rod as some people have mentioned. Everything lined right up just like the original. So far this carb has been used for about half the mowing season and has performed flawlessly.

Dumped Gas into Crankcase
The installation was easy, and the carb looked just like the stock one on my John Deere riding mower. It started and ran fine once. A couple of weeks later, the mower would not start, and then I pulled the dipstick to check the oil and found gas in the crank case. The spark plug was saturated with gas. Because there were several good reviews, I thought I would give it a try for only $20 versus a name brand for >$100. I would not recommend this product. Save your money and buy a name brand carb for your mower.

Good replacement carburetor!
This bolted right up to the John Deere. Everything is included. Don't forget to plug in the wire at the bottom of the carburetor after your install. I forgot and it won't run unplugged. Once I realized that and plugged it in, the mower fired right up and ran BEAUTIFULLY! No more surging! The John Deere has been cutting grass now for over 2 months just like a new tractor! I recommend non ethanol gas for all outdoor equipment.

John Deere LA105 fits great works better than oem
This carb fit my John Deere LA105 the only tiny issue I had is the choke valve was rubbing the intake a tiny bit causing the choke plate to hang up and make the mower stumble every now and then , once I found that , I loosened the intake nuts up and lifted up on the intake boot while re tightening the nuts and voila ..!! Ran better than stock carb , can't go wrong with this carb , the fuel screw runs perfectly at two full turn out, think it was pretty much that from stock set up when I got it , like I mentioned make sure your choke is not hanging up and you're good to go , will definitely order again.!!

Mower won’t crank, but could be other problem
I bought this carburetor and I really liked the price, the quality seems to be good also, it was for a John Deere LA105 riding mower and it fit perfectly, exactly like the original carburetor, only difference is it doesn’t have the Briggs & Stratton logo stamped on it, I think I will be able to live without that. Mower was surging really bad and flooding with old carburetor and old fuel solenoid was bad, so I decided to just purchase a new one compared to the price of just buying a new solenoid and repair kit, but mower still will not crank. Getting fuel to new carburetor but will not crank unless you pour fuel into carburetor, then it will crank for a few seconds then die, also have verified that it has air and spark. Troubleshooting now, not sure if it is the new carburetor or not! So I am just giving it 3 stars for now until I figure out if it is the new carburetor that is the problem or not, if it is not then I will update it to 5 stars.
