Very good.
Very strong sharp trimmer. Worked easily on my husband’s very thick large toe nail. Such a blessing to finally be able to take care of him.

Thick nails equalizer
Have had my eye on this for a while. What a great clipper. Solid, easy to use, and has its own container. Sorry I waited.

Extremely Strong — But Not the Easiest for Elderly Hands
These clippers are no joke — they are seriously heavy duty. The ultra-wide jaw opening and sharp stainless steel blades make cutting very thick toenails much easier compared to standard clippers. For anyone dealing with tough, dense nails, these definitely get the job done cleanly without splitting. I actually purchased these for my elderly father, who has diabetes and very thick toenails. In terms of cutting power, they’re excellent. They’re sturdy, well-made, and feel durable — not flimsy at all. However, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the locking mechanism. You have to click the metal piece into place and then twist it back in order to close the clipper. For someone younger with good hand strength and dexterity, this probably isn’t a big deal. But for my father, who is elderly, that extra step makes it difficult for him to operate independently. One thing I really like is the packaging. It comes in a sleek 3D cylinder case that holds the clippers and the included nail file. It keeps everything organized and actually looks very nice — it would make a thoughtful gift. Overall, these are powerful, good value for the money, high-quality clippers — just keep in mind that the locking design may not be ideal for seniors who have limited hand strength or mobility.

Buy a pair for seniors in your life
Works great! Truly amazing the ease of use! It just chomps off the nails in one cut. I had tried similar types of toe nail clippers in the past and all they were able to do was clip off pieces. I had to clip, clip, clip to I got the desired length on one toe.

BEST TOENAIL CLIPPERS EVER
AND I'M 83, so I have seen a few. I actually bought two nail clippers with this order -- the other one was in my cart when I saw these, and I clicked on it simply because they showed the titanium ones, and I am a fan of anything titanium. The other clipper I got is good, too, and I am keeping both -- but I LOVE this clipper. First because of the extra wide opening, which fits around my wonky toenails wonderfully, and then for the clean, sharp cut. I am not adding a photo because, other than the clippers, which you can see for yourself here, the only thing I have to show is my toenail clippings, and that'd just be gross. But believe me, I am tremendously pleased.

Great for extra thick nails
I ordered these for my husband who has very thick toenails and they work great. The opening is large enough and the clippers are sharp. They also come with a bag and container for storage. Would definitely repurchase.

Calidad

An excellent clipper for hard, brittle nails
I had been encouraged by many of the positive reviews to give these clippers a try, having seen comments about how sharp they were, and seeing relatively few reviews showing broken springs (which seem to be the biggest complaint among reviewers of clippers). Based on what I saw, the spring on these clippers doesn't get compressed very far - even when the "jaws" are fully open and are therefore unlikely to break in most situations. My nails are very hard and potentially brittle, and I will normally only cut them after a shower, when they've had a chance to soften up in the water. To test these clippers, I decided to cut them without first soaking. I wanted to see whether they would crack/split and whether the pressure required to actually cut them would be too difficult to manage with one hand. My toenail, which is wider than the width of the blade, did split when I cut it. But, it split perpendicular to cutting line, and in the opposite direction of the cuticle towards the end of my toe). So, the toenail clipping came off immediately (normally, when my nails are soft, the nail will NOT come off until I reposition the clippers and finish the cross cut). Even though the nail clipping came off on its own, I still think I will maintain my routine of soaking first - no sense tempting fate and possibly have the nail split in an unpredictable manner. As far as safety, I can see how someone who keeps their toe in place and approaches the toe with a wide-open clipper jaw could accidentally catch some skin. However, if you bring the clipper slowly towards your nail and position the skin so it rests against the outside of the lower jaw of the clipper, you should be able to do a clean, safe cut. The final criticism of "open jaw" clippers is that they don't prevent nail clippings from flying all over. I did experience this with these clippers, and am thinking through how I might be able to solve this problem. So, a very strong endorsement of this clipper, as long as you take steps to keep your fingers and toes from getting pinched.
