Benchmade - Osborne Folding Knife with Burnt Copper Aluminum Handle (940BK-03)

Such a great folding knife with the Axis lock. I am a big fan of the burnt copper. For the money, it’s so worth it. Extremely sharp of course. Feels great in hand. The scales are not slippery. Has a grip to it. Looks amazing under real sun light. I see what all the hype is about. The style of blade is great. Great blade stock. The weight of the knife is bad at all for how strong it is. You don’t want a light knife. It’s a knife! Free sharping for life with a great warranty!!! The designer of this blade, Osborne knew his stuff. He made a great blade. Anyone who collects knives should have this blade. I want the carbon fiber or the G1 scale version with a different blade style. I had a gift card for Amazon. I would have purchased it from Benchmade or an unauthorized dealer. Where I live, I don’t have a whole lot of options.

SKU: 940BK-03 This is even better than I thought it would be. Heard great things about this. Light weight so as a every day carry it's like wearing nothing. Those nice looking handles are smooth so unlike some of my grippy G10 handles on other knifes doesn't stick against certain clothes I wear as pulling out or putting in. Too soon to speak of reliability but if this more expensive version is like the other it shouldn't be a problem. And speaking of expensive. It’s alot. Biggest con for me. Reason for one less Star. But with this quality and premium steel (Magnacut) you have the backing of the company. With not only lifetime sharpening but a Lifetime warranty on the tool itself. As long as I get years of use out of this tool (I don't abuse my stuff) I will have no problem recommending this version.

I’m not a huge fan of this color combo but the 940 is the gold standard in EDC knives. Light, useful, durable and dependable. American made quality and an unmatched warranty. This knife was made to be carried and used. Classy and discreet enough to go in the pocket of your slacks at the office, but tough enough to carry when you’re hiking or hunting. It might not be the best knife at any one thing, but it does everything well. More often than not This is The knife that’s in my pocket.

The burnt copper and magnacut are a welcome upgrade. This made me a believer in magnacut as the perfect edc steel. I've already rolled the edge hitting some metal and resharpened it with about 4 strokes on the stone. Crazy, weird looking and feeling, amazingly balanced steel. It's one of my top 2 edc.

After watching a few hundred YouTube videos and reading a ton of various knife reviews, I ultimately decided to purchase a Benchmade 940 Osborne. Came as described, razor sharp and definitely a quality piece of cutlery. Great fit in hand and slim in the pocket. Price is definitely steep but they say you get what you pay for. Looking forward to years of use.
