JINFENG Needle File Set(6 Piece HIGH Carbon Steel Precision) Hand Metal Tools

I used these to clean out some screw holes in a box hinge. So far so good. The handles are on securely and while they're not exactly ergonomic, they get the job done. They're decently rough so you won't be working at whatever it is for too long.

It works fine on soft metals and plastics. Comfortable handles allow good control on the files. However, the case is a larger than it needs and doesn't hold the needle files reliably.

KEEP IN MIND THESE AREN’T BIGGER THAN 4 INCHES!! I bought these as a full time mechanic because I needed small files for different purposes mainly to remove corrosion from electrical connectors and just didn’t wanna pay 5x as much for snapon or Matco, love them! I even use them on smaller brake calipers sometimes, but they’re not very sturdy, you push too hard they’ll snap, 2 of mine have been bent 90° and then restraightened, other than that no complaints and they’re worth it!

when I use wire and a mandrel to make my own rings, I use these files on the cut ends, so that when I close the rings, they will be as flush as possible. These files are easy to handle and small enough to adequately file the small ring closures without marring the rest of the ring. I love them! Also,JF-JINFENG TOOLS shipped the files right out, no delay, and I quickly received them. Moreover, you can't beat the price! A bargain!

Contacted the seller, and they were kind enough to send a discount code to essentially purchase a replacement set for 99% off, so just a few pennies. I appreciate the seller trying to make this right. Hopefully the replacement tools hang in there. Update after just 3 months of very mild use. File broke under light pressure shaping a small Christmas ornament. File snapped like it was a toothpick. Consider spending your money elsewhere. I do not recommend these. The files are smaller than I anticipated and should only be considered for very light duty. The flat file started to bend as I used it which was not expected, nor desired behavior for a file. Understanding they are described as 3 mm, but I assumed that was for the shank, and not for the surface of the file. Also, high carbon perhaps, but apparently not hardened or heat treated, as they would not bend under very mild force if they were hardened. Expected a little heavier duty tool. Plan to keep them for the very smallest, lightest duty filing of perhaps very thin 1/16" or 1/8" fiberboard or something, but will need to now find something more suitable for 1/4" to 1/2" materials.

These are better than I expected. Normal selection. Cut well on rough machined Al alloys parts that need cleaning. Not quite as fine a cut as that imparted by my Swiss files. But cost far less and current do a good job for me. Great value.

Bought these for filing hard to access areas of machinery that's pretty rusty, and crusty. Dremel tools are great, but they just don't fit everywhere. These do. I just spent several hours working on a crusty old piece of painted cast iron, and it did a pretty good job taking it down to the paint, and even down to the metal, where I wanted it to. The large assortment of file shapes makes it much easier to file in tight quarters, and while it's not taking much off with each pass, it is taking some off, and you can control where, and how much - easier with these fine files and pointy tips. I liked the handles - so it's not just a bare metal grip. I even took a marker to draw the cross section shape onto the yellow side spots, so I can tell at a glance which one I'm looking for. (An improvement for future iterations, maybe?) Anyway, I only used one so far, and only for a few hours, but I'm pretty happy with them overall. Good assortment of shapes, and they do what they are supposed to do. Just be aware they are small, for jewelry work, etc. Not good for big jobs. I will update, if anything changes or breaks.

Impressive array of all types of files, I love these and have great uses for them, Have used them, they are sharp and strong. (I will hide these from my husband who never puts anything back.)
