If so, how do I purchase, and how much is it? Thank you!** A: It does require phantom power. Some mixers have that built in. For what it's worth, it's a GREAT sounding Mic. In my opinion it sounds better than the RE-20 for a lot less money. **Q: What kind of cable is included, length and connection type?** A: Cable is not included. **Q: how sensitive is this microphone 20 mv/pa ? i'm interested mostly in voice over and if i can put the microphone 2 feet away and still be heard.** A: I use it as my primary mic for making YouTube videos. It is mounted from an overhead boom, angled at my mouth at a distance of about 3 feet. It is cables into a Tascam DR40x portable recorder. The sound is great. This is a very versatile and sturdy compressor mic with nice warm sound. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by on Reviewed in India 11 February 2026* One of the best microphones from AKG. Giving five stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value for money , little bit airy above 5KHz though you can trol that with a proper eq *by on Reviewed in India 28 June 2021* The mic is value for money . The high range is slighty hissy or airy texture but you can control that with a proper eq . Though this is an entry level midrange mic but the mic is so nice and sturdy . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good one *by on Reviewed in India 9 August 2025* Good mic for voiceover. ## Frequently Bought Together - AKG Vocal Condenser Microphone, XLR, Black, 6.00 x 8.00 x 12.00 (3101H00420) - Amazon Basics XLR Male to Female Microphone Cable for Speaker or PA System, All Copper Conductors, 6MM PVC Jacket, 6 Foot, Black - Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface for Guitarists, Vocalists, Podcasters or Producers to record and playback studio quality sound --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://congo.desertcart.com/products/72908790-p220-high-performance-large-diaphragm-true-condenser-wired-unidirectional-microphone](https://congo.desertcart.com/products/72908790-p220-high-performance-large-diaphragm-true-condenser-wired-unidirectional-microphone) --- *Product available on Desertcart Congo* *Store origin: CD* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
