Does it come with the play wood and how many pieces

It comes with foam plastic pieces that look like wood. Each kit contains enough pieces to make a couple different items.

Is this something that could be kept outside? Or would rain/sun damage it? Im trying to find outside toys

Thank you for contacting Step2. No recommended to be left outside....weather can affect the product. Regards, Step2 Consumer Service

Would you recommend this product for a preschool class? 4/5 year-olds Thank you.

I would say 3 to 4 year olds. Lots of tools which is nice. I would order more building blocks of more projects to build for a 4 year old. My 3 1/2 year old great grandson loves it. Hope this helps.

the bird house is terrific paint with water and make it colorful - but we have three children , where can we purchase more like items?

If youre looking for quality wood projects that are pre-assembled or that are completely DIY(all parts included) check out your local Micheals, Hobby Lobby or other Craft/Hobby stores. I have a 4 yr old whos #1 goal is to test everythings durability & I babysit other children ages 2-10 regularly so I'm constantly searching for the best deal cash wise & have always found great paint ready wood projects($1-$10) at Michaels.
