Is the battery replicable?

You should not ~need~ to replace the battery. Yes batteries have a finite lifespan but unless the battery is faulty it should last you years with proper care. 
I have had my XM3s since 2018 and I wear them for about 10+ hours a day and charge them overnight using my laptop every single day, and I have had zero issues with the battery life. It probably has deteriorated to a certain extent but not enough for me to notice.
Considering these headphones are advertised with battery lives of up to 30+ hours on a single charge with NC, I think most people will be fine with the default battery for a very long time, unless it malfunctions in which case I'm sure sony could do something. 
Just don't let them die too often. That kills the battery faster.

Question 3

While on a call, is is possible to mute the microphone on the headset?

Unfortunately you cannot mute the microphone on the headphones, you can only mute the mic using the mute button on your phone.

Question 4

It seems like you can turn off anc via app, but can only toggle between anc and ambient using physical button, no turn both off. can you confirm?

Hi James,

Good question! In the factory settings, each time the NC/AMB button is pressed, the function switches as follows.

• Noise canceling function: ON (You will hear a notification sound.)
• Ambient Sound Mode: ON (You will hear a notification sound.)

There is good news however! You can select one of the following on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app to set how you want the functions to change when you press the NC/AMB button.

— Noise canceling function: ON → Ambient Sound Mode: ON → Noise canceling function: OFF/Ambient Sound Mode: OFF
— Noise canceling function: ON → Ambient Sound Mode: ON
— Ambient Sound Mode: ON → Noise canceling function: OFF/Ambient Sound Mode: OFF
— Noise canceling function: ON → Noise canceling function: OFF/Ambient Sound Mode: OFF
