I don't see why not, assuming you are talking about a charcoal grill. You don't need to use quite as much, as this burns longer, hotter and with less ash then traditional charcoal.

Is the charcoal fsc certified?

No, these are slow growing hardwoods and are essentially nonrenewable.

Is this charcoal sustainably sourced or from virgin forest? I've read their website and packaging and it doesn't say.

ALL hardwoods that are harvestable for lumber (charcoal is a secondary product for most producers) take more than a human lifetime to reach real maturity. Brazil logs virgin forest hundreds of thousands of acres per year...yay Kamado Joe!
