If Kisses Were Colors board book

I got this for my first mother's day from my husband and it's very cute. Sweet drawings, the text rhymes well. I added it to the board book collection of our 8 month old and occasionally read it to her but so far she isn't overly interested in it - hopefully that changes in the future. I highly recommend this as a gift for mother's day, birthdays, or to a freshly baked mother.

I ordered this book for a friend's daughter who turned 2. My children loved this book too. It is poetic and the pictures are beautiful. Its a good buy for any little one and a wonderful addition to your collection of bedtime stories.

If Kisses Were Colors is a beautifully written, beautifully illustrated book to share with the child in your life. It is a book about the boundless love between and parent and child, using comparisons with infinite things like the colors in a rainbow and pebbles on a beach. It is a great book to read while cuddling with your special little one. One of our favorites.

If we could only have 1 book in the house, this would be it. It is a family favorite. Sweet story, sweet pictures and perfect for snuggle time. My daughter has loved it from babyhood right into toddlerhood. I've also given it as a gift to all of my friends at showers.

The illustrations are fantastic, the words are even better. My daughter is absolutely captivated each time I read this to her. I can, without a doubt, say that this is her favorite book. Brought me to tears the first time I read it, just a really sweet book.

This book is very sweet, and I love the rhyming in it.

And I am a little surprised about that because he's very much a smash up cars, trucks, big wheels, type of kid. When I read it to him the first time there was complete silence. Very unusual for my boy!!! Then we read it again, and again. We looked at the pictures as we went, he was asking questions, wanted to know what the acorn was, and the comet. Then after we had read it again, he took the book to his father and "read" him the story. The illustrations are just beautiful.

This is just an ode to babies and kissable feet, isn't it? It's full of poetic descriptions of what the world would be like if kisses were something else - and how you could *see* how many there are, because parents don't just stop kissing and loving their kids. Beautiful artwork (well, of course, it's Alison Jay!), and a sweet story. I easily recommend it as a new-baby present, or a first birthday gift for your own kiddo.
