My Apple Banana Tree
I received the Apple Banana tree that was well packaged and in good condition, looking healthy without any root rot, she was about 6 inches tall from the base to the top leaf and it had 5 leaves on it that were all green. I live in Northern CA in zone 9A and I put her in indirect sun for 4-6 hours for the first 4 days. On the 5th day after receiving her, the first new leaf was sprouting out of the center and I put her in direct sun for up to 4 hours each day after that. On the 11th day, I transplanted her it into a 6.75 gal. pot with 1/3 clay dirt, 1/3 sandy loam soil with redwood compost for drainage and 1/3 Pittmoss topsoil (not peat moss) for moisture retention. On the 13th day, I fertilized her with NPK 10/10/10 while keeping her in direct sunlight up to 8 hours each day then on the 15th day, the second new leaf sprouted from the center. I only water her about once a week and use a moisture probe to check the soil moisture level. On the 29th day, a third new leaf is sprouting from the center. I look forward to watching her continued growth as I talk to her everyday, lol.

Healthy Plants and well packed!
I waited a couple of weeks to see how the banana plants would do after first getting them before writing a review. I have purchased Manzano bananas from other sources in the past and received unrooted pups that didnβt survive. First off, the packaging: I ordered two plants which arrived maybe 5 or 6 days after I placed my order. The plants were well packaged and very protected for the trip. The plants arrived looking great, no signs of stress at all. I did order these at the hottest time of year so I was a bit concerned. I am zone 9b and the temps were over 100 degrees. The plants werenβt even wilted when they arrived. Included in the packaging were some initial care instructions which are helpful to transition the plants. I started the plants in the house for a couple of days before I moved them to a shaded location on the patio so they wouldnβt get fried by the sun. I let them get a couple hours of sun in the evening. After a week I moved them to a location where they would get sun from mid morning to mid afternoon. The plants have both put out new leaves since I received them which is a good sign of health. After about 3 weeks the plans started showing roots at the bottom of the 4β pots and I just replanted into a 1 gallon pot today. Looking forward to these getting a bit bigger before Putting them in their permanent location. I am very happy with my purchase and wouldnβt hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Not worth the price
The plants look healthy and were well packaged but are too small for the price

Why ship it to San Diego??
The plant arrived. My issue was how they sent it, through the USPS. For some reason the plant was shipped to San Diego first, it was being shipped from Florida to Florida, why did it go to San Diego? Anyway the plant arrived a bit distressed, will take some recovery before it will be able to be planted. I have no issues with the nursery or the plant, just wished it hadn't taken a detour across the country.

Perfect
It arrived on time and packaged well. Little beat up from shipping but definitely not sellers fault. Followed instructions provided and had a new growth within a week. Sheβs now growing like crazy and absolutely beautiful! Definitely worth the purchase :)
