I’ve been drinking Death Wish Valhalla Java for over 6 years, and it’s still my favorite coffee! Zakk Wylde wouldn’t put his name on it if it wasn’t amazing. I enjoy every sip just like I enjoy every riff and note from the man himself.

Delicious dark roast coffee with wonderfully strong aroma. This coffee has a decent amount of caffeine, so it is great for sleepy mornings.

I've purchased this coffee on two separate occasions now. This coffee tastes great. My favorite is Kicking Horse Coffee- Kick Ass, because it is under $1.00/oz and tastes very good. This Valhalla Java blend is better, but I hesitate to say it's worth the added cost for me. Although I don't plan on buying this coffee consistently, I will likely buy it again because it does taste very good.Pros: Great flavor at the recommended water to coffee ratio. (2 1/2T to 6oz water)Cons: Cost is high. At the recommended 2 1/2 tablespoons per 6oz serving, you end up going through this 12oz bag faster than normal. Feels like the caffeine level is higher than I'm used to, which I'm not particularly fond of.

I'm a barista so it goes without saying that I appreciate good coffee and love caffeine. This coffee is top-notch. I purchased it as whole bean and grind it fresh immediately before brewing (French press). It is AMAZING. My only complaint is that it calls for quite a bit more coffee for the coffee-to-water ratio than most other coffees, so I went through a 12oz bag in just a few short days- my partner and I only drink a cup each in the morning, no more coffee the rest of the day. My French press is about 32 ounces and when I use as much coffee as it calls for, nearly a third of my French press is reserved for the coffee grounds and I can only really get 2 cups of coffee out of it. You WILL taste a major difference if you go even 1-2 tbsp coffee less than what it calls for. Don't get me wrong, it is very good coffee and I'm glad I bought it- I will be buying it again. Just need to keep some decent-quality, less pricey beans around for days I don't need the extra caffeine-boost this coffee offers.
