Truly Effective — Broke the Habit Faster Than I Expected
The TGuard AeroFinger Anti-Finger Sucking Guard has been a huge help for our family. My child had a strong finger-sucking habit, especially during naps and bedtime, and nothing else worked. This guard is soft, lightweight, and surprisingly comfortable — my child adjusted to it quickly. The design is smart: it blocks the suction without hurting or restricting movement. After a few days, we already noticed a decrease in the habit, and after a couple of weeks, it was almost completely gone. The straps keep it secure, even overnight, and the material is easy to clean. I also appreciate that it comes with clear instructions and a progress chart, which kept us consistent. It’s not cheap, but the results are absolutely worth it. If you’re a parent feeling frustrated and out of options, this is an effective and gentle solution.

So Glad I Found This!
This thing worked great for my son! it’s thick, durable, and does come with fun colors bands to hold the item in place on their hands/wrists.It actually did the trick. It took about 30 to 60 days, but after that, he no longer put his fingers in his mouth, and the illnesses he used to get, stopped. I would recommend this for any parent who is struggling with getting their child to stop sucking on their fingers or putting their fingers in her mouth for comfort.

Great Deterrant
The only complaint is that I ordered the Large for my 10 year old and it's actually too big and a little uncomfortable on her, I think the Medium would've been better but at $60 each we are going to try to work with this one. Day one went okay, my daughter figured out how to slip the plastic off her fingers and suck around them, so we had to tighten the bracelet down more. But it does seem to be working and a great device when worn correctly.

2 year old stopped sucking in 1 week
I tried the polish, elbow splint, and many other products that didn’t work. I didn’t want to buy this because of the price but gave it a shot. I wish this was my first buy. This is amazing!! By the 3rd to 4th day my 2 year old stopped sucking his two middle fingers. By the end of the week he was no longer crying at bedtime. We left it for a second week to not offset any muscle memory. And after only 2 weeks of use, my baby was free. He has never attempted to suck his fingers since and nor has he replaced it with something else. I recommend this to every parent. I’m a believer! It really works!!! Buy it! Don’t look at the price.

Trading One Problem For A Worse One
Buyer beware: this will ABSOLUTELY impair your child's hand use! First of all, it is extremely thick plastic, WAY moreso than it needs to be, so it's difficult to bend (even as an adult) - unless your kid is the hulk. Second, the two fingers are FUSED together! Why?? Absolutely no reason. If the surrounding plastic keeps children from wanting to suck their fingers, why would the two fingers have to be connected to one another? Completely senseless, and again, doesn't allow the child use of those fingers. We'd noticed these issues ourselves, but the final straw was having a friend of ours who's a physical therapist caution us about trying to have the device on as little as possible - while 30 days will break a finger sucking habit, you'll have a whole other problem when your child can no longer use those fingers normally. Shameful and outrageous, especially for such an expensive product in the first place.

Meh......Not too effective
Our son has been sucking his index and and middle finger since he was 4 month old (he's now 7). So, you can say, we had a long road ahead of us from the start. Being a Dental Assistant, I'm familiar with the different apparatuses use to stop finger sucking. They can look a little torturous. I came across the product years ago, and had always found it interesting, while considering it for our son as he was getting older and the finger habit continued. I finally broke down and purchased it. Besides, it is so much cheaper than a fixed mouth guard or Orthodontics. Well, let's just say, it was unsuccessful. The design itself, is great! It allowed our son to stay his active self without any slow down. He could still write, play sport, and aggravate his siblings. It was a rough couple of days at the start, but we were making good progress; or so we thought. Because he is such an aggressive finger sucking, we had him in it 24/7; with occasionally coming off during bathtimes. His dad and I felt we were making progress. Until one day we saw his fingers in his month with the guard still on. I was gagged! This clever boy had learned how to hold the guard and pull his finger out. No problem! We just put it tighter. Same result. We added two bands. Same result! Safe to say, he is still sucking his finger and the guard is MIA. I guess next step is a fixed appliance and possibly Orthodontic.

So grateful we found this!
Our 3 year old was sucking his two middle fingers and it was starting to cause his teeth to shift. We tried everything, but nothing worked. Then I came across TGuard while looking for something else on Amazon, so we figured we would give it a try. It was very easy to use, and fit our kiddo's hand well without causing any skin issues. They were still able to do their normal activities while wearing the guard, and it held up well. The best part is - in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS he was done sucking his fingers and has not gone back!! This was just what we needed and are so pleased with the results!

Idea good..realistically didn’t work out.
I got these for my 2 year old because she’s moving her jaw due to sucking her fingers. I followed the size recommendations and they did not fit until recently(she’s almost 3 now). Honestly this isn’t worth the money..it doesn’t seem to work even following the instructions. It’s easy to use and maybe my kid is just very determined. I would suggest trying something else before investing in this.. It does not seem to fit my kiddo well, if we tighten it to where it doesn’t come off it digs in her skin and if we loosen it one notch it’s sliding too much.
