Review: Solid drives at a solid price! - I bought 5 of these drives in total, 4 to be used and the 5th as a spare. I pre-cleared each of the 4 drives to make sure that data could be written to every single sector without issue. All 4 were good, no errors or reallocated sectors. Once put into an array and existing data copied over, they have been solid with no issues in 2+ months they have been online. In my environment, the drives are not spun up 24-hours a day and individual drives can be spun up for use. That has lead to between 100 and 350 start/stop cycles on the drives so far. The drives do have active cooling and the highest temps they have seen are between 39-42C. I'll be sure to update my review if things go awry! Review: I love these - This is my 4th or 5th purchase of this 10tb drive. They work great. Mostly quiet and tons of space. Windows easily recognizes these drives. A quick initialize and format and it's up and running. I don't want to recommend these drives because I want to buy more at this great price so don't buy them all up please

GoHardDrives is one of best places to buy used Hard Drives on Amazon's Website ...
GoHardDrives is an excellent place to buy used / older hardware for a budget price. I've used them for years, and that is why I always keep going back to them. They have always treated me honestly and fairly, so I am a student and always tell everyone at school, professors, IT managers, etc., about GHD. And, nowadays, I prefer to buy older hard drives versus new hard drives, as long as they have a 5-year warranty. It's meaningless to me if they fail a few years down the road, because GHD will replace them (if they are still in warranty and you still have your receipt). And, they are still good drives -- even if used a large number of hours, because (most often) the hard drives from GHD's offerings are higher-grade ones (such as enterprise ones). So, even if those hard drives have seen a large number of hours, they are still made better than consumer grade drives. So, I trust the hard drive offerings from GoHardDrives. And, one more thing, is that they should last just as long (or even longer) than they would in a Server Farm location, because your system is probably not reading and writing from the drives constantly like on a 24 hr/ 7 day/ 365 days a year. So, even if they have high hours, they have seemingly lasted as long as the warranty does. In my situation, I do not believe that I have had to send any drives back -- other than those that came DOA when I first got them. But, again, that's my experience/s and your experience might differ, depending on which drive you luckily (or unluckily) received. So, 5 stars on everything dealing with GHD. Anyway, I hope this helps people make good decisions with the second-hand drives from GoHardDrives.

BAD Sectors
Was expected a good working refurbished product instead I got a very bad unit. As soon as I hook up on my Windows 11 PC my system start frozen, when I check the disk on Cristal Hard Disc Info program show health status in RED with lot of irreparable bad sectors ๐Looks like I didn't win the Silicon Lottery this time

Holding up well
Seems like the refurb process is doing what it's supposed to; drive works fine, no bad sectors, and speeds consistent with reports of what the original drive gets. I was a bit confused by the instructions about the cable that came with it, but there's a chassis power control feature that it turns off, so you need to use the cable if you're using it in a system that doesn't have that.
