Original Rhythm Quartz DIY Wall Clock Movement Mechanism DIY Repair Parts Replacement

I bought this movement to replace a 120V electric movement in a 1960s clock. It fit perfectly and works perfectly (as far as I know, or observed during the time I had it). The key to getting the correct movement for your clock is to pay attention to the length of the hands and the length of the shaft on which the hands set. If you have a thin clock face, you need a thin shaft and likewise for a thick one. The product descriptions are the key and this one was done perfectly for my needs.

Having done work like this several times in the past, I expected this one to take about 10 minutes, but the only part that went well was pressing on the seconds hand. So I was quite surprised to see that hand smoothly moving once the battery was inserted, and even more surprised that the movement is keeping perfect time. The hands are a bit ornate for my Shaker style clock but they lend it a certain charm and the minute hand was easy to shorten to fit its dial. Most importantly, this movement and hands combination was the only replacement I could find to fit.

Do your research before making your purchase. I was grateful that I did. The face of my clock ended up requiring hands that were much shorter than most. These hands and mechanism work perfect and only took a couple of minutes to install. Extremely glad to have my clock working again.
