XFasten Double Sided Woodworking Tape w/Yellow Backing 2.5 Inches x 30 Yards

So far, so good. Wanted a little thicker tape for my CNC router workholding, and this stuff is perfect. Very good hold, yet easily peels off the work and the table when done. Will probably buy this one again.

I use this for my CNC machine. It is so sticky and it works so good for holding my project on the bed. I have no worries of it coming loose. I literally cut five pieces 2 inches long place two in each corner at the end one in the center and I have not had anything come loose. Excellent product thickness is great. Very minimal values. Good ease of use. Oh yeah.

Great product

I decided to upgrade my review after using the carpet tape (white) version of this tape. Both my X-fasten For CNC work this tape is very easy to apply, and the initial grab is not super aggressive. The white version of this was much more aggressive. I'm not sure if it's the backing or the tape or both, but this version is thicker than the white version, so this makes it very easy to apply without a tendency to wrinkle. Anyone who's doing CNC work and has critical depth cuts to make or engraving knows the importance of maintaining an even thickness. This tape really excels here, as it's more idiot proof than the white stuff or thinner versions of tape. Under normal use it removes very easily with no residue. Let's talk a situation you're likely to encounter though. As a router bit spinning at 12,000+ RPMs hits this it has a tendency to melt. Not only does this gum up bits, it makes the areas where you've routed difficult to get the tape off of. I've even coated my CNC table with some polyurethane to improve adhesion, but this stuff can still be a bugger to get off of your waste board. Some isopropyl alcohol helps. Overall, I think it works excellent for CNC work, but this bear in mind it's going to be a bit tedious to do the final clean up. And here's another tip for people doing CNC work and there's plenty of videos out there that demonstrate the technique. Get yourself some of the blue painters tape, and some medium thickness crazy glue (cyanoacrylic) glue. Apply the glue to one surface of the painters tape, and spray the mating side with accelerator. Upon contact the bond is instant. Only drawback is you don't want to get the glue beyond the edge of the tape, and two, I'm not so sure the accelerator is the greatest thing for your lungs. This does not leave any residue behind, and is easy to remove. Overall I think it's a little more expensive than double stick tape, but it works exceptionally well, and I've even seen guys machine aluminum with this technique. For general purpose CNC work, I'll be buying more of this double stick tape, as overall I find it much easier to apply and don't have to worry about alignment of the painters tape and crazy glue technique. Good product and so far does not leave any residue on the actual work, although be aware as it gets hot it does melt and makes cleanup more difficult on your waste board.

I was able to stick a .125" thick plastic sheet to a 3 x 4 plywood board using the 2.5" wide tape. Lays down very nicely using the rounded edge of 2 x 4 block to first adhere the tape and then the plastic sheet. I needed to avoid screws or glue, so the install was really clean and removable if the panel ever needs replacement.

Impressive holding power. I use primarily for slabbing on my flattening router sled and on my hobby CNC router. I got the 2.5" roll and feel like a use a lot so I may try the 1" version which should also make removal just a little easier. This stuff is kind of tricky to cut. Scissors get gummed up immediately. I use a new single edge razor and it cut through the backing pater side for good clean cuts. Kind of spendy but will definitely buy again.

Excellent multipurpose 2 sided tape. Holds very well, but can be removed without leaving any glue behind. Highly recomment.

I use this on my cnc bed to assist in holding down the wood. Excellent hold quality. Great for projects that can't accommodate 4 clamps to hold down the material. Allows for larger cut area and minimal clamping.
