This is actually four Bibles in one. So nice to be able to see all four translations at once, side by side. Of course to put this much information in one book, the pages have to be thin, and the print relatively small. But if the pages were thicker paper, and the print were larger, it would have to be a much bigger, heavier volume. This is a really nice study Bible in four of the major translations, side by side for effortless comparison. I love it.

Great for personal use or as a gift for that special graduate or special someone. Gain deeper knowledge of scriptures by comparing (probably) the most widely used and knowledge filled translations of "The Bible." The bonded leather cover and gold edging places pride in your hands with each use. The Bible's cover actually looks better with use and age. Desires? Wish it had Jesus' words in red, at least in the KJV & wish the print was larger, although the print size is quite decent as it is. As for size, this is a "personal sized Bible," but that doesn't mean that it is small! It does lay flat when open & has a sworn in ribbon to make your place (although I'd delight with having 3 to 5 ribbons in my personal use Bible). I still use my iPhone Bible Apps, but I take great joy from reading the written word! You won't regret the purchase and surely won't regret the Amazon pricing!

A great gift for someone who wishes to study the word of God in a deeper and more meaningful way. I am gifting this to a priest who is extraordinary. He has 'gifted' himself to family, friends, congregations and Bahamians from Matthew Town in Inagua to West End in Grand Bahama. A true son who shines sun-bright, he is a beacon for lost souls on scorchingly hot days and still nights. This book gives itself to quite study without the need for internet scrambling or connectivity to anything else but the sound of the leaves rustling and the turning of the pages. I like these bible comparisons. With 4 popular translations on the open page, it's easy to get a clearer understanding of the original KJV. There are 2 caveats. It is heavy & thick and the print is rather small. I found it too cumbersome to carry to church or bible studies. I find it's better for my own study at home where I can place it and my notes on a table. I like that the text is complete in each of the 4 versions side by side. It's easy to compare the translations. A definite plus for my personal study time.

I have for a while wanted to get the NIV and Amplified Bibles, having years back got the KJV and the NASB. This Classic Comparative Bible is very nice indeed, Zondervan have done a great job of putting the four translations together in a good, easy read format. you get a very nice brown bonded leather cover. inside theres table of contents, Intros to each translation (but no introductions to the individual books of the Bible). brief (translational) notes on some pages. At the back table of weights and measures, no maps. The four translations are on facing pages, two per page, in column, 8point font. Zondervan have done a good job of formatting. I'm a Catholic and have for a while wanted to get a NIV, having already a KJV and NASB, (so far I would match the NIV with the Catholic NABRE Bible, both are 'optimal' translations, Between formal and dynamic. And it comes nicely boxed to protect it during shipping. Highly Recommended, 5 stars

Previously to this bible, I had to use separate versions in order to conduct my studies in the word. This bible is a MUST HAVE for those like me who rather have it all at a glance. The bonded leather and burgundy color are as indicated and further compliment the quality of this bible. The pages are as delicate as traditionally seen on all other quality bibles. The versions are side-by-side at a glance for quick interpretation of what you are reading. I am going to enjoy this bible and GOD's word for years to come or until HE does! The words of Jesus should have been written in red as other bibles do which would have made this wonderful creation an OUTSTANDING one, but it's a excellent bible nonetheless and serves it's purpose like no other. This is a GREAT bible to have.

this side bby side was easy to read and the different translations being on the same page made it easy to cross reference and did not need to get out four different bibles to check, i recommend it wholeheartedly
