Worth much more in sound clarity - perfect for 15x12 ft or similar small rooms
This is a gem of a bt speaker at this price point.. far superseding others with higher value in battery life. Ease of use, connecting and majorly on sound quality. The bass is deep and thumpy when you are close to it, nicely carries mid and highs. Soundstage is far superior as similar one from jbl will cost you 10k. I use iphone with apple music.. using eq and dolby helps me probably. But very nice strong sound performance and at highest volume there is no sound break - charging also fast takes 1 hr for good playtime if you are in hurry. Overall extremely satisfied with this product.

A decent portable speaker
I was using JBL GO.. This product is definitely better than that. # Sound quality is pretty good, woofer effects and dolby effects are good. # The battery life is not as good as it is mentioned, I played it about 10-12 hours with full charge. # The Bluetooth range is about 25feet. Outdoor it may go upto 30feet. If you are looking for a small size portable speaker.. This is a decent choice.

Good sound core, Rugged design, solid heavy sound for individual indoor hearing. Battery lasts more than expected.

Built quality is poor
After 5 months the power button just collapsed inwards. It deteriorated despite the weather being normal. The sound quality is good but the built was disappointing, the first week itself the flap lid for the charger broke away. I regret not returning it.

⚠️ Warning: Dangerous Battery Defects and Abysmal Customer Service
I purchased a Soundcore product five months ago, and the battery started draining within 5-10 minutes. When I sent it for repair, customer service informed me the battery was beyond repair. Now it turns out that Anker doesn't have replacement products in stock and is pushing me to buy another product, which I refuse to do. They also refused to issue a refund. Few days back, I discovered a Reddit thread (now little late though) where numerous people complained about Soundcore batteries bursting into flames due to manufacturing defects. This is a serious safety hazard and an unacceptable product flaw. Think twice before purchasing from Soundcore. The risk of a defective battery and the poor customer service are not worth it.

Go for it
The first unit delivered was not seal packed and seems like used product . As Amazon replaced the product with new sealed one. It's bulit like tank, awesome quality , rugged and most importantly it can be used as power bank 😉. Sound output is extremely good compared to JBL Flip 4. Overall a premium product to have once for lifetime

Please exchange it coz my charging port is not working
the pack, there was only a speaker, no cable or tie, and the blue tooth distance is only 3 or 3.5 meters, I was using Sound Core 2 compared to that it's zero, soundcore 2 Was super. I loved it so much that it was not even 16 watts but still 3 times better than this

GREAT SPEAKER, SOUND AND PRICE
I just received this speaker and wanted to say what a GREAT SPEAKER it is for the price. I'll start off by saying it is very well built with the rubberized coating and the form factor (size) is perfect for putting it in your back pack or just carrying it to the beach etc. The sound is excellent with decent "highs" and very rich and deep sound. While I haven't tested the battery yet (rated at 520mAh) ,I'm sure it will be great. I tested this speaker against several other waterproof speakers and here is my "opinion". While everybody has different opinions on how they like their "sound", overall I feel this speaker produces the best sound for the money. You throw in the construction of the speaker and the battery life and you have a great speaker. -Ecoxgear Eco Stone speaker- This is a great speaker as I have owned it for several years. It's waterproof with great battery life (only 2800mAH) and the sound is almost as good as the Anker Souncore Sport XL. However, the Anker speaker has a little more deeper tone to the sound. That doesn't mean it has more bass, it just sounds deeper. -Sharkk O2 and Commando speakers-I had both of these and sent them back. They received great reviews but the sound was not that good. Both came across as "tinny" with it sounding like it was in a concert hall with a slight echo. The Anker Soundcore Sport XL is 10 times better sounding that the Sharkk and the Anker has a bigger battery. -UE Boom 1- Another great sounding speaker that was almost as good as the Anker but again, it didn't produce that rich "deep" sound . This speaker produces a 360 sound because of it's cylinder shape but I don't think the battery is as good as the Anker's battery. eat sounding, water proof Overall, I am very happy with the construction (ruggedness), sound and battery life of this speaker although I haven't tested the battery yet. (Just going on the 5200mAh rating of the battery.) Plus, you throw in an 18 month warranty and great Anker support and you can't go wrong with this speaker. I would highly recommend buying this speaker if you're look for a great sounding, waterproof speaker. I bought this speaker at full price and did not receive anything for the review. (However, if ANKER wants to send me a free one, I'll take it! LOL) One more thing reference the "Bluetooth" of this speaker. It's rated at 66 feet and I haven't tested that yet. However, it seems to be very good as I can have my phone in one room and the speaker in another and it doesn't lose the BT connection. Come on, does anybody really care if it goes 66 feet? The BT is excellent on this speaker.

Great sound in a small rugged package.
I have owned the original Soundcore for several months now and while I was intrigued when the Soundcore Sport was released I didn't bother to upgrade as it was smaller, less powerful and seemed to sound poor when compared to Anker's other offerings. The SoundCore XL is what the original Soundcore Sport should have been, delivering rich sound with good bass for a speaker of its size. The added functionality of a built in portable charger and 15 hours of playback time make it a really good deal. Firstly I will talk about the sound, it's extremely rich in the highs and mids without being grating and harsh, something that is rare in speakers of this size. The detail in the highs is comparable to that of some much larger and more expensive speakers. While the mids and midd-bass are present but nothing to write home about, the bass is particularly impressive, being nice and tight and not too overwhelming. The speaker is very loud and could easily fill larger rooms with sound, but it admittedly struggles with quality a little in larger rooms. The speaker has no distortion no matter how loud you crank it up. Some people will complain about its lack of heavy hitting bass but this is really only true if you are expecting Hi-Fi performance from this little rugged speaker. For most people this speaker will sound great, if you are looking for a portable boombox with heavy bass then look elsewhere. Surprisingly the main selling point for this speaker, for me anyway, was actually the dual functionality of having a battery bank built in. This is something I am surprised Anker haven't implemented before as many people cary both a bluetooth speaker and a battery backup around with them anyway, this cuts down on clutter in a backpack. Another great feature is the durability, being waterproof I can use it in the shower and you really don't have to worry about being careful with it, and I often throw mine in to my bag across the room. One thing that I don't like about this product though is the price, its currently £69 in the UK and $69 in the US, making it much more reasonable to US customers. This is far too close to apples blanket pricing regardless of currency for my liking and it would be nice to see this changed in the future. At £69 the Soundcore sport is right on the edge of being a little pricey, but I feel as something that I use daily its worth it.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this speaker.....
I was looking for a portable and rugged speaker to bring with me on the golf course and on the occasional weekend snowboarding trip. My primary criteria were: not too expensive, it had to be waterproof and shockproof, it had to have enough battery life to at least last an entire round of golf and it had to sound reasonably good. The Anker SoundCore Sport XL ticked all of these boxes and more. While I haven't had a chance to take it out with me for a round of golf yet I think its going to be perfect for listening to tunes in the golf cart. I don't have to worry about it being splashed by a bit of beer or being demolished if it accidentally take a tumble out of the cart (that happens more times than you think). The speaker is solidly built and the rubber finish feels like it can take a beating. I haven't had a chance to confirm the battery life but its reported to be 15 hours which should be good for 3 rounds of golf before it needs a charge. You can even use the speaker to charge your phone but that will obviously reduce the overall battery life for playback. And yes, sound quality is excellent. I'm comparing this speaker to a Monster SuperStar speaker I already own and is in the same price range and there really is no comparison. The SuperStar is smaller and therefore more portable but the SoundSport isn't unwieldy by any means. I am using this speaker with a Samsung Galaxy S7 which connects automatically when the speaker is powered up. Bluetooth set-up was pretty straightforward. I purchased the SoundCore Sport XL based on the many positive reviews on Amazon and I was not disappointed. I will try and update this review once I've had a chance to really put the speaker to the test once golf season returns....living in Toronto that's still about 5 months away.
