Works just as well as the expensive ink I used to buy.

I don't know what sheerness means re ink, but it prints like the Canon brand ink as far as I can tell, if that helps. With the Kingjet ink, we can print zillions of pages of color or b & w for much much less than when we use Canon brand ink. It seems like we spend more on paper than ink now. I don't worry about printing b & w vs color anymore. Follow the directions, and print all you want. I really like our Canon PIXMA MX870 printer, but before we found the Kingjet aftermarket ink, I considered getting a new printer. Try it. It's a cheap experiment.

She hasn't used the new cartridges yet, but I bought these for my wife's Canon printer because the previous Kingjet cartridges lasted for years, never dried up and the print quality was great throughout. As usual, she had too many blacks in the original package of the previous purchase, so it was nice to see that I could buy the nine-piece package of colors only. Of course, the price was much lower than the Canon branded cartridges.

My Canon MX860 is used primarily to print photos. It prints seriously beautiful, vibrant photos. It uses 5 cartridges, a large black pigment, a small black ink, a magenta, a yellow and a blue. I purchased a 9 pack, 3 of each color to balance the usage from other multi packs. I tested the colors of the Canon ink by printing a nozzle check and then by printing a photo, then I did the same after replacing the Canon ink with these 3 color cartridges. The blue dripped slightly upon opening, I wiped it off, but it didn’t leak into the printer. The other 2 did not drip or leak. The nozzle check revealed that the blue is a somewhat, ever so slightly lighter shade than the Canon ink. More blue than cornflower blue. The red and yellow were the same. The test photo showed a non significant difference in the blue tones as compared to the Canon ink test photo. These cartridges are so inexpensive, I really can’t complain. Unless you really want to nit pick, nobody would really be able to tell the difference. Unlike some other good replacement cartridges I’ve tried, these do have the red indicator light when you install them. I had no issues with the printer not recognizing the cartridges.

Good ink quality to use in my color canon printer. With this ink my printer produces excellent results. To add to that it’s a great deal for the money.
