Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Whiskey, 70cl

Yes...I know it is a spin off of an excellent TV series and I was sceptical about it as I am not a fan of Irish Whisky! This is excellent. It is so smooth, you can drink it without water or a mixer!! Super flavour! Goes down to so well. I was most impressed with it and have since purchased more! I really do recommend this whisky! Shame a good recommendation doesnt get you any freebies!!!! ;-) Seriously I found this whisky to be of excellent quality!!!

When it comes to whiskey, I generally prefer Irish to Scotch. Generally this Peaky Blinders has a fairly nice flavour, doesn't burn if you take it neat and is not over peaty. It's smell reminds me of a boozy Christmas cake, but the taste is just that of a basic whiskey. Personally, I don't think it has a unique flavour, certainly not something you'd be able to name from a blind taste, but it's not bad in any way. It's main selling point is clearly the name, not the product or blend. Probably the ideal whiskey to have at a party where others will neck it without caring too much.

I was extremely surprised by this whiskey, I bought it as a gimic to enjoy a dram with the new season . I ended up loving it, can really taste the sherry flavours the cask has brought to it . Personally I get soft tones of caramel from it also , probably the aftertaste of the sherry. This is above any whiskey on the market in this price region. A kin to a dalmore in flavour. Lovely bottle lovely product and more than FIA pricing .

I was bought a bottle of this whiskey last Christmas. I 'd never tasted it before and wasn't really that interested in doing so as I have another favourite brand. That first drop blew me away! I have only drunk this ever since. It doesn't burn your throat as you swallow, it's very smooth and, golden! I have just purchased 3 bottle for Christmas, though I doubt they'll last that long. I'll probably have to order more for Christmas, but don't tell the wife!

As someone who's grown up in a household where whiskey came before a coffee, I think I'm pretty 'clued up'. I honestly didn't have high hopes for this at all. It's just merchandise from a series on TV I don't even watch right? Wrong. It's absolutely stunning. This and the rum are both fantastic. Easy drinking. So easy drinking in fact that the bottle was very quickly emptied.

Guter Whiskey, schmeckt gut und sieht relativ edel aus die Flasche.
