Review: GolfGym has improved my game - My fitness trainer (who has a 1.6 index) recommended that I purchase and use a GolfGym Powerswing. I have had two shoulder surgeries in the past and no longer lift weights. My objective was to increase my endurance and improve my golf game. The GolfGym is great device. The Master's Edition contains a golf club training grip and 3 resistance bands (light, medium and heavy). Within 2 weeks of steady use I have noticed that my endurance has improved and I am rotating around my back leg rather than swaying. I also feel strong late in the round when I normally start getting sloppy. My index has dropped from a 12.9 to an 11.7 (and getting lower). I attribute this to the GolfGym and a walking/jogging program. After 4 or 5 weeks of using the light (yellow) band I moved up to the medium (red) band. My workout includes a full power swing, a power turn (both feet) an external rotation (both sides) and a two-handed overhead pull. The manual includes decent diagrams for these and other exercises. Review: Inadequate Stitching Strength for Resistance Bands - I purchased this about 3 weeks ago and used it 8 times so far. The issue is that the stitching on the fabric has already torn off and I have had to resort to duck tape to hold it together. The fabric holds a plastic nodule that you insert in the crack between the door and doorframe. It needs to hold in order to provide the base of resistance for the band. The stitching in the fabric is the weakest link. The manufacturer should have provided a more industrial strength stitching in order to withstand the tension needed to gain the proper effects of the exercises with these bands.

The picture shows a DVD. I didn't get one. I went back to the box. No DVD.

I did not receive the dvd
I've been using the equipment based on on-line instructions. A dvd with the equipment would have been better than having to rely on on-line instruction.

Good, but....
Overall a good system for a golf specific workout-very pricey for what you get but I'm satisfied with my purchase. One point of issue (concern?)- when I tried to log on to their web site in order to access the workout video my security software (Webroot) blocked access telling me this site contained "malicious content". Not sure if they in fact have an issue here or I have problem on my end. The printed workout program was sufficient.

Versatile Product
So far, the GolfGym PowerSwing Trainer is a great product. I've owned it for about a month. I love the versatility of the GolfGym in how quickly I can change from one exercise to another. In doing so, I'm able to get a pretty complete workout in about 1/2 hr. to include shoulders, arms, torso, and legs. I don't need a lot of space and it's compact enough to easy pack in my suitcase for business trips and vacations. Now the $64,000 question, does it work...the answer is yes. The proof for me is my golf game. Recently, I noticed that when I make a good swing my drives and/or fairway shots are a little longer plus my back and shoulders aren't as sore at the end of the round.

Good workout
I live in the northeast and can't golf in the winter so I thought this might be a good product to help me do some golf specific exercises. I like the golf grip and the different strength bands are great. It was harder than I expected but makes for a good workout. I can't comment on how it will help my golf game but if you do the exercises right it definitely works the core, arms and other golfing muscles. It might be a little expensive for workout bands but I think it's worth it for the golf grip. I golf lefty and ordered the right handed one, emailed customer service and they called me the next day and sent me a lefthanded grip for shipping cost.
