Intex 28638BS 1000 GPH 220-240 V Cartridge Filter Pump - Grey

I have to say that this is the best filter pump I have ever purchased. The water is crystal clear, and the pump is extremely quiet. I am using it with my 12 ft pool and I am very happy with this product. The colour indicator on the top is very useful because I don't need to open the pump to check whether the filter cartridge needs cleaning. No more wasted water and the pool stays crystal clear even after more than a week of use. Highly recommended.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Got this to replace the one that came with my 10ft pool. Wow! I have a skimmer on the pool that never did much, but this pump really has it working properly. The aerator feature is nice and gives a good flow through the pool. Photo is next to the original.

we purchased this to replace the pump that came with the 12ft best way pool purchased last year which gave up the ghost. Purchased this more powerful pump as we wanted to use it with the led waterfall filter given us as a Christmas present last year. The pump is very powerful and the pool has never looked cleaner and it has stabilised the water. Great delivery and on time .

I upgradge my tiny filter that came with my huge 10ft pool to this one, was a bit worried due to mixed reviews, but it's brilliant once you know the best way to fit it, like one reviewer said push the tubes right over so the black seals don't actually sit in the slits ( mine was leaking a small amount with the black seals in the correct place, but push the pipes all the way onto the filter and use clips to seal and no leaks) so much power than one provided with pool and can filter pool in a few hours rather than overnight 👍 long pipes too so don't have to have filter right next too pool. Wish I upgraded sooner.

I had purchased a BestWay filter pump last year, knowing there was a risk of it failing the following season based on reviews and it proved true. I was eager not to waste money this time and, although it cost nearly double the price, this Intex filter pump came with a 2 year warranty and I opted to pay for an additional year to avoid the same frustration! So far very impressed - the inlet has an aeration adapter giving a slightly bubbly "jakuzi" feel to it and at around 3,000 litres per hour it's superbly powerful. I've used it with a Polygroup SummerWaves pool from B&M. The ends of the hoses have the same 32mm diameter. The hoses in-between the adapters are thicker, but that doesn't really affect compatibility. I've found that the default inlet and outlet adpaters that come with the pump are not compatible with the pool. I ended up using the pool to pump adapter that I already had, and thankfully Intex bundle a smaller adapter with for the pump to pool end and using an extra clamp it helped hold it in place and worked, and therefore allowed to have the aeration valve benefit. I take the output from the filter pump and pass it through a heat pump - this works well. Be sure to follow instructions, eg. to ensure you use the valve to get air bubbles out before switching on. Some of the instructions are not clear. I initially got the two connections on the pump the wrong way round and was wondering why it was struggling, and it turned out it was trying to pull the water backwards through the heat pump! Noise wise it is fine and typical for a filter pump, based on three that I've used over time. Very pleased with the setup and feel hopeful for this lasting longer :-)

Amazing results Our last pump gave up the ghost and my pool started to get cloudy and just wasn’t clean An hour with this pump attached and the water is crystal clear again really quiet to run too. I would definitely recommend. Amazing value for money

Works well, but you’ll be lucky to get more than a year usage out of it. Plastic parts of pump wear out fairly quickly.

This is an excellent product. You can see it working as soon as you plug it in because the jet is strong. I bought this to replace a bestway Pump that was so powerless it couldn’t even clear its own air lock. I have suddenly realised what a working pump should look like. This is a complete pain to set up the first time and I’m not convinced it will get any easier but it’s worth it. My advice is not to buy one of the cheaper punps as they do not work. Spend the extra £15 or so on something powerful enough to do the job. I’m using this with a 10 foot intex fast set pool.
