Works great, old one was leaking

It was easy to replace my hot tub's original ozonator with this unit. All I had to do was splice the electrical connectors from the old broken unit on to this new one, and it worked great. The only improvement should be that they indicate which direction the ozone should flow with the replacement hose. The one-way check valve failing is usually what causes water from the tub to back-up into the electrical ozonator, causing a short and then a need for replacement. To find out - I poured water in one end. then into the other to figure out which way the ozone would flow into the tub. Also mount the box as high in the control access doorway (and loop the excess hose) to reduce the chance of tub water flowing back into the unit. Watch YouTube video if you have questions. I purchased this item to aid in the water maintenance of my Hot Tub. It worked beautifully for about 6 weeks. Now the red LED light is on the Ozone unit but it doesn't produce any ozone! I am very disappointed. I would not recommend this to a friend. I will not buy again. Pros: 1. Arrived quickly 2. Easy to intall 3. Worked well (for 6 weeks) Cons: 1. ONLY WORKED FOR 6 WEEKS!!!

I go through a lot of ozonators for some reason. I decided to try this one, since it was so cheap, and it works great. One note: make sure you inspect your check valves and lines for clogs. I thought this unit died after just a few months, and I kind of expected that, but on further examination, a check valve was clogged. Actually, it had been this way probably for 2 months, since I didn't smell any ozone and figured the unit died, only to find a clog. I've had 2 Del ozone and 2 JED engineering units, all died. This unit seems too small and light to be effective and durable, but it is effective and time will prove durability. Give this a try.

I needed to replace an Ozonator that had corroded, and happened upon this one. It stated that it kicks out 300 mg/h, so it appeared to have a higher capacity than the one which was twice as expensive and recommended by my local spa supply guy, so I figured I'd give this one a chance. It arrived quickly and was easy to install... This thing is pushing out bubbles like never before. So far so good. I'll update if it fails soon, but I think this one's a winner. ***Update: April 21, 2014 Still kicking out a great stream of bubbles... I use much less chems in my spa now and am extremely happy with this Ozone unit.

Worked great when installed but 5 months later the part that connects to the hose cracked. I noticed after my water slowly became cloudy again.

Works fairly well, but wore out quickly.

Update: The unit has died! I got about 6 months of service running the unit 2 hours per day on weekdays and 3 hours on Saturday and Sundays. This is disappointing. I have downgraded my rating from5 to 4 stars. I still give it 4 because when it worked it worked wonders. Original post: Replaced a Prozone PZ1. The improvement in water quality after just a few days operation is dramatic. Water is crystal clear, and smells and feels great. Installation was easy. I installed a low cost cn101a timer in-line (purchased from Amazon) to reduce operation to a few hours a day.
