A bit expensive, but worth it. Most of the cats love it. Has a very smooth pate texture. Using it to supplement two cats that don't maintain well on kibble alone, have noticed significant improvement in weight, body condition, and energy levels. No problems with the cat with extremely sensitive stomach.

Solid Gold cat food is the best I have found on the market for sensitive stomach and safe ingredients. The added coconut oil helps with digestion with the benefit of making the coat soft and hairballs obsolete in comparison to anything else naturally.

My aging kitty got tired of his Purina organic chicken pate food, so I resorted to look on Amazon for a replacement, and so very happy I found Solid Gold and took a chance of ordering it—HE LOVES IT!! I then read the ingredients and I was very impressed with the ingredients—especially the coconut and eggs!! I recommend it highly! I went ahead and ordered it a second time to make sure I don’t run out of it!! Highly recommend it!!

I have been buying this food for my cat for 4 or 5 years now. I originally got it at PetCo, but I had to switch to Amazon because PetCo stopped carrying it. I choose this food because I try to be a conscientious caretaker for my cat and because the flavor--Salmon and Coconut Oil--is her favorite. She's always loved the food, and I'm more than happy to provide it for her. However, I just received my Auto-Ship delivery and it contained a broken can that I am going to have to discard. I tried to go through Amazon's refund process, but I was told that the item is not eligible for a refund. I am somewhat disgruntled about this. It's not typical to receive a damaged item from a business and not have the item replaced for a non-damaged one, and this item is one of the bigger recurring expenses in my life. TL;DR: Food is great quality, but I got a damaged can in my most recent shipment and there's no clear avenue for me to get the damaged item replaced.

I have a 11 yo cat who will eat almost anything. Of all my cats (many) Katniss has been the only one who will eat anything I put in her bowl. I've tried and she's eaten at least a dozen types of canned cat food. This Solid Gold food is anything but. As I dished it out, I almost threw up - the smell is overpowering and rancid. Given that it's chicken flavor, I have no idea why it smells like rotten fish. I waited until my cat was hungry, then filled her bowl while holding my nose, figuring that this was made for cats not humans. She sniffed just once and walked away.. I left it for a while, since she was clearly hungry, but hours later, while the stink filled the kitchen, Katniss wouldn't touch it. YUk.

I had high hopes for this wet food as one of my cats prefers pate and this was definitely not a family favorite. They wouldn’t even touch it. I tried multiple times they prefer they wurva or Wellness pates…. by the way, they are both Finks cats and pretty particular and as people know you must feed them both wet and dry. It’s kind of a hard thing to figure it out especially when you have to get them both liking the same thing. I’m definitely going back to my old brand, and if anyone’s wondering, they really love the duck grain free dry food by natural instinct. It took me years to figure that one out… Spinx cats eat double the normal rate of a normal cat due to their metabolism so they need high protein and all of these brands provide it. When I wrote this review, my cats did not like the flavor that I ordered and so I gave it a one star to my surprise someone from the company reached out and kindly asked me if I could give them another chance they were so responsive and so caring. They suggested I try a different flavor and we went with the salmon, my cats absolutely love it. They obviously did not like the chicken flavor and I guess with cats that’s kind of a preference I was so impressed with Customer Service and the reason I tried this brand the first place was because of the high-quality ingredients. I’m so glad I got a second chance and I’m grateful to the Customer Service team for kindly sending me out a free case to try it again. They really take pride in their product and it shows. I will be purchasing this brand again and again the kitties are huge fans.

This review is for the Tropical Blendz Chicken with Coconut Oil version I have four senior cats, two of whom ate grain-free as kittens so they're familiar with high quality food and mostly cool with it though all of them seem to prefer junk food (Friskies). Relatable. They were starting to get bored with the Friskies variety pack, even their favorite one Turkey & Cheese, so I gave this a try. We've had Solid Gold before, it's a great brand but with higher quality food there's always a big chance the cats won't like it. In fact, there's an unspoken rule: the more you paid for the food, the more likely it is the cats will reject it. Well that is not the case here. They love this food! I gave them both this and Fancy Feast (aka "cat crack") for a meal and they all went straight for the Solid Gold and licked their plates clean. This stuff is very expensive but you get what you pay for, in the long run it saves on vet bills to feed better food. It's just hard to find a good food they'll actually eat! Glad this stuff was a hit...until they inevitably get sick of it as cats do. Guess my cat food expenses just tripled for the foreseeable future.

My cat's favorite My cat just devours this up and he can be a picky eater. Good quality ingredients and I've compared it to the competition. There are none of the bad ingredients found on the must-to-avoid lists. It's very healthy by all accounts. The price is a bit higher than others but you're paying for quality. Look for periodic sales though.
