Religious Art Silver Tone Black Enamel Pectoral Crucifix with Skull Bones 3 1/2 Inch

Let me begin my saying, I am a young Traditionalist who wears his faith on his sleeve, or more accurately, around his neck. I am reticent to be seen without a good Crucifix. I purchased this Pectoral Crucifix from Needzo Religious gifts. Don't hesitate to buy from them, I have made several purchases thus far and have consistently been satisfied. This last purchase is no exception. This Crucifix, while normally a little pricy for my taste, is well worth the money. It is a very eclectic piece - I've not seen a crucifix with a Totenkopf (death's head) before. The Crucifix pictured is much what you receive, although they appear to be handmade, or at least hand-assembled. The Corpus is magnificently sculpted, and yes, shiny. The Crux is elegantly shaped, and, at least in my eyes, elegantly rough in places. The Totenkopf, which is what attracted me to the Crucifix in the first place, is displayed as pictured at the foot of the Crux. The INRI, Halo, Corpus and Totenkopf are all attached to the Crux itself, making this a very ornamental piece. Sparing no detail, the maker of the Crucifix added a Crown of Thorns to the back, adding to the extraneous detail. As such, I wouldn't recommend extended use of it, i.e. doing as I did with my former Celtic Crucifix and never removing it. But certainly, this is a piece one can proudly wear out and about. And for the price (I purchased mine at roughly $14 w/s&h) you can certainly do worse, much worse.

At an unbeatable price (I think), a very nicely detailed little crucifix. (Actually, not so little)... It gives a good, weighted feeling when holding it in one's hand. I want it for my nun's Halloween costume, but seriously, it is a nice enough item for a religiously minded person to hang on the wall, say over a night stand, or on/by the the night lamp shade, and feel good about it. I think my Mom would have done that. You can't go wrong with this one!

Skull and crossbones came off in the mail. Another came off after opening. They need to be fastened on better than gluing

I’m writing this review with great satisfaction and joy I received upon receiving this crucifix. I used to discern being a Catholic priest, and although not anymore, my life is still for God.-Just not as a priest or religious personnel. I wanted a simple design and this is just what I wanted- a very elegant and traditional style cross that priests wear and use to remind people of who is really there- Jesus Christ. I always feel the love of God wash over me when I gaze upon this crucifix. And may others be blessed upon seeing it. Although, this did not come with the skull and crossbones as seen in the advertisement, The Crucifix is still complete. The INRI sign and the corpus are what truly matter.

I really love this little treasure, though I had to clean off some of the black enamel off the silver tone crucifix cross body and straighten the skull and cross bones I am still please to own this crucifix and wonderful way this was packed

The quality is very good and it has some heft to it. Beautiful

Recently portrayed the Mother Abbess in local community theater production of the Sound of Music so I needed something appropriate that a Nun would wear. This was PERFECT. Not too large (it's 3 1/2 inches long) looks just like the crosses the Sister who taught me in school used to wear. Very lovely
