Thank you, Green Gobbler
i had a new toilet put in about a year and a half the ago. I trusted the plumber who apparently bought the cheapest toilet bowl out there. I googled the price and found it at the local hardware store for 100$. The reviews were not very good. Low flush means no flush. Usually, my a plunger handles the problem, but not this time. Of course, this happened on a Friday, so the cost of a plumber would be out of the ball park. Having used Green Gobbler in the past, I ordered this. I decided go the over night option and after about 8 and a half hours, I added the required hot water and waited for fifteen miutes. No flush. 😬Vigorous plunging produced no results . I was heart broken but cut open the second pouch of this powder, dumped it in and waited three more hours. I said a prayer, got my plunger ready and yea! It flushed without having to use the plunger. Our house is on a very tight budget as my son was taken off work by his doctors when he was 27, i had to retire at the age of 63 because i could no longer bare the pain of AS and Lupus. So, there is no extra money. I was so scared this wouldn't work, but it did beautifully. Now i will keep this product on hand for maintenance purposes.

Does not work.
I used both packages as directed. The first one I left in the toilet for over an hour. Nothing happened so added the hot water as directed. Nothing happened again. Waited until the next day and again nothing changed. Put in 2nd package and left it in for 4 hours. Nothing happened. Shut off water supply and flushed the toilet and emptied the water basin to empty. Water in toilet did not drop but a fraction of an inch. Used very hot water and poured it into the toilet water basin and flushed the toilet. Nothing happened. This product was useless. Have to order something else and hope that will work.

Worked on the first try
Worked for me without even trying to plunge once. I don’t even own a plunger. I discovered the clog right before I had to leave for work at 7 am, and it was going to be a busy day. I don’t own a plunger and I didn’t have time to buy one that day. When I got to work, ordered green gobbler for three hour delivery so it would be there when I got home. it was delivered about an hour later. Could I have ordered a plunger? Yes. Did I? No. I hate plunging and I don’t want to do it. Plus, I’ve had success with GG products for unclogging sink and shower drains, and I like the brand so I bought this and the liquid version without reading much more than the product description. 7 pm, got home, dumped one bag in the toilet, added hot tap water 8:30, tried to flush. Nothing happened. Decided not to add another bag and maybe just let it sit for a bit longer. But this is the only toilet in my tiny apartment, and again, no plunger, so I checked in again about an hour and some change later. 9:45, added boiling water to raise the water level, per the instructions. 10 pm. Flush. Mission accomplished. Full flush, no issues, no gurgling, just a straight, perfect flush. Better than before, actually. I’m completely sold. Note: there was a smell that got a bit stronger as time went on. I expected this, as since this is an enzymatic process it makes sense that the breakdown of any organic matter causing the clog would release an odor. I just closed the door and turned on the fan. Small price to pay for convenience. Also, this seemed like a significant clog to me (a person who doesn’t own a plunger) and my toilet has been flushing slowly for a bit, but (again) no plunger, so I don’t know how easily this could have been cleared with good old fashioned hardware. And I realize that a plunger could still have been necessary. I would have crossed that bridge when I came to it. I just wanted to see if there was an effective, plungerless solution first. And there is, apparently. All I can say is that for ME in this situation, it absolutely worked on the first try, following the instructions without a plunger. I plan to keep a bag or two on hand at all times going forward and using a 1/2 bag for periodic maintenance. Hiiiiighly recommend

It works slowly
It works, but slowly. I had a pretty bad blockage. Plunging didn’t do anything. I thought before I call a plumber or try the mess of using a mechanical snake, I would try an enzyme. I let it sit overnight and when I flushed it the bowl filled up again. I also used the plunger again, but it wasn’t really flushing well. So I decided to let it sit for another 24 hours (without adding any more product). Late the next day, I flushed again and the toilet emptied normally. It may be the blockage was a little more distant from the toilet and it took that long for the stuff to reach the blockage. I was just pleased to not have to call a plumber!!

IT WORKS! HALLELUJAH! OH HAPPY DAY!
We've had issues with the toilet since moving in. It seems to clog often. but not FULLY...just very sluggish at the end of the flush and it gurgles...The water is always clear though so I assume it's a paper clog. And it happened two days ago again. I tried all the usual hacks: VINEGAR AND BAKING SODA; GREASE CUTTING DISH SOAP with A LARGE AMOUNT OF HOT WATER added. Still the gurgle at the end of the flush. SO much fast hard plunging that I lost 1/2 lb ! But still the gurgle at the end with about an inch or two of water left behind. I ALMOST bought an air pressure device to address this clog and hopefully future clogs but I read some people had issues with it (like assembly and I'm the only assembler in this household!) so I decided to try Green Gobbler first. I will tell you this: I started my day attempting to issue a refund for the unopened bag PLUS the bag I used since the manufacturer offered a FLUSH GUARANTEE! But here's what happened instead. After two days of struggling with and pouring $ down the drain after emptying boxes of baking soda, numerous cups of white vinegar, and numerous cups of dish soap and heating pots of water on my stove to dump into the dish soap and building my arm muscles from all the plunging, I wanted a solution. I poured one full bag of green gobbler (per instructions) into the sluggish toilet. Per instructions: when the water level went down about 1/2 way I ADDED enough HOT WATER to bring it back to the normal level. I let it sit overnight. (I started this process at 7:40 pm and when I woke up at 5:30 a.m. I did the final step: Add more hot water to bring the level back to normal. WAIT 15 min. FLUSH. And FLUSH IS GUARANTEED! EXCEPT...still gurgled!!! So I decided to take the manufacturers GUARANTEE. But then, I decided to just give it ONE MORE FLUSH - and lo and behold...FLUSH TWO was EVERYTHING!! FULL FLUSH NO GURGLE!!! I think I'll still go forward with the air pressure device from OMONT (I may have that name wrong but it's something like that) and now that the toilet is flushing fully, I'll have ample time to assemble the device and practice using it before I actually need it! BUT I WILL AlWAYS have at least ONE BAG of GREEN GOBBLER in my shelf! GOOD JOB GREEN GOBBLER!! AND THANK YOU FOR closing THIS CHAPTER of "WHY IS MY TOILET SO SLUGGISH?"

?
Not sure if it worked. My toilet had very bad suction and would almost overflow. I did 2 separate treatments with this leaving it for at least hours each, following the directions. No major difference after either treatment. What did work was a lot of dawn dish soap, let it sit, then hot water then let it sit and flush.

Read the reviews! This WORKS but it’s not fast …
So glad I took the time to read the reviews … really helped understand how quickly to expect results and how the product actually works … and if it was gonna work for me, how easy and pretty much painless the process might be … fingers crossed! This time our master bathroom toilet was impossibly clogged. There had been an increasing number of clogs over the past couple of months and slow flushing which cleared with average plunging … but this was the grand pooba! Absolutely no movement after two days and plenty of hot water and plunging. Water would very slowly go down but that was it. We were sure it was time for a new toilet (maybe the one that flushes golf balls) but that meant removing the old one with all the wonderfulness still inside and that was gonna be nasty. Should mention that husband who is a pretty good handyman had to leave on a business trip leaving me a 73 year old definitely not handy (and not happy) wife to enjoy the problem. So like any seasoned shopper I looked on Amazon and Google for solutions. I read that products for clearing regular sinks and drains weren’t for use in toilets because of dangerous heat buildup and potential for cracking and damaging commode and pipes (best to not use the Drano) … so needed a product designed for toilets. Handy home remedies like vinegar or using dish detergent didn’t seem like they would be strong enough for this problem and seemed like more work than I wanted to do for a test. The more I read, discovered toilet clogs could signal a bigger problem. For all I knew might have to hire somebody to get on the roof to clear some kind of toilet air vent or have our main drain line dredged to clear tree roots. And there are lots of things to think about when buying a toilet. In addition to pressurized flushing and extra swirl, apparently toilets have different sized traps - the bigger the better, and be sure they are glazed properly all the way through for a “smooth” flow. The more I read it even seemed like some of the regular products for keeping the bowl clean could actually cause problems with clogging. And a snake (there are ones specifically for toilets) or some kind of industrial air plunger were just not anything I wanted to learn to use. (I’m a competent woman but there are some skills I really don’t care if I have.) Pretty sure it was time to call a plumber … but then I saw these nice tidy little green packages of crystals - no toxic smell, nothing particularly deadly or dangerous about them, and you could just dump them in, maybe add some hot water, and ignore … what could be better … and thanks to Amazon they’d arrive the next day. Placed a double order so 4 bags (considered buying a case because the refund policy looked pretty good) - just to be prepared. Day 1: Dumped one in, followed instructions, waited a couple hours, no bubbles or anything, added hot water (not boiling) as instructed … had dinner, watched a movie … flushed … 😳 oh dear - nothing, absolutely no joy. Day 1 - 4 hours later: Plunged, added very hot bathtub water several times, plunged some more … nothing. Added another full bag (glad I had several) decided to wait till morning, let it sit overnight. No stinky smell or bubbles or any kind of unpleasantness. But didn’t look like anything was happening either. Day 2 - morning: Maybe something going on? Water in bowl is brownish (it had been clear as clog was way in). Added some more hot water, plunged, might be draining a bit? water seemed to be slowly going down maybe just a little, stayed clear. Left it alone and went to work. Day 2 - evening: Flushed - seems like maybe it’s starting to work … maybe just a little better? Added hot tap water a couple more times, plunged enthusiastically, had dinner and watched TV. Day 2 - later: OMG!! it might be working!! … flushed … slow but … flushed again a few more times - each time water drained faster and no backups, water stayed clear … could be it’s back to normal? … really? no big dramatic finish? that’s it? decided not to push my luck … Day 3 - morning: YES - All good!! everything working, maybe even better than it had been (seriously who ever really spends time watching how well their toilets flush!) And now since I have the hang of it, decided to add bag 3 just in case. Probably don’t need to but this problem has been building so why not and I’m on a roll! Today: It WORKED! It’s been a week now and still good and pretty sure better than before. We are very happy with this product. Highly recommend. Plan to follow with regular maintenance using 1/2 bag every month or two in each of our toilets as suggested. BTW it has a handy ziplock so keep that in mind when cutting it open but it’s also recommended not to keep an opened bag around for more than just a little while. Will also be looking at their other products to see what offerings can help prevent other drain and drainage problems.

Save your money. If your plunger won't get the job done, invest in a drain snake
I've tried Green Goblin powder plunger toilet clog remover before. I followed the directions. I've let the product sit for hours in a clogged bowl. I added hot water. I couldn't tell whether Green Goblin actually worked to open the clogged toilet drain or if time and water/pressure did the trick. Today, I added 64 oz of Green Goblin main line opener to a first floor toilet and flushed just once. I added 32oz of Green Goblin main line opener to the 3rd floor bathroom sink and the other 32oz to the 3rd floor shower. I added a pouch of Green Goblin powder plunger toilet clog remover to the clogged third floor toilet. After waiting 4 hours, the 3rd floor sink and shower are still fine, even before running hot water. The 3rd floor toilet bowl remains clogged, however. I'm all for eco-friendly solutions but I'm more interested in a functioning toilet. If you have a clog that you can't manage with a plunger, invest in a drain snake. These are the original eco-friendly solutions to a clogged toilet and they still work best. Maybe there's a functional, eco-friendly "chemical" toilet clog remover that works reliably. I'm just not aware of one. Green Goblin certainly isn't it. Until I find an eco-friendly drain clog opener, it's Draino (with lye) for the sink and a plunger or a good drain snake for a clogged toilet.

No sirvió mucho

Be patient!! It definitely works but can take time
Have used this product successfully twice now on a 3rd floor, seriously plugged toilet, snaking didn't clear...most recently it took close to 2 months but the toilet is flushing again...no new toilet or plumber required, if you can just let product and time work their magic, . Similar experience with their sink drain product...plugged bar sink drain..took quite awhile but the clog eventually cleared and has been clear ever since

Doesn’t work
I bought a 2 pack. I used 1 each at 2 different times. I waited 24 hours each time. Did nothing both times. It was a waste of money. Don’t buy this crap.

The powder form works well!
I purchased this powder form four times from Amazon so far. When the plunger does not work, they do the job. They work great. I follow instructions. I always make sure I keep one in my bathroom for use at any time. I hope this particular product (the powder) does not get discontinued as the two liquid bundle form did not work. One thing: the last order which arrived yesterday, the two packages are smaller in volume than what used to come. Will review again when used.
