Good addition to our pontoon
Really helps when docking my pontoon. Have recommended to others because of the quality and sturdiness.

THE Best
MADE IN THE USA. TOP USA QUALITY! Functions well and truely built to take a lot of stress! This is my second one which I recently purchasedโฆ confess that I bought this 2nd as I canโt find where I misplaced my first one that I have been frequently using for over 23 yearsโฆ used with my boat here in salt waterโฆ since selling my boat in 2002, I use it for anything that I need to reach for and pull to me including a lot of tall hedging and oak tree trimming/cleanup work on our acreageโฆ I couldnโt do my extensive artistic landscaping without itโฆ and many Stihl chainsaws, pruners, trimmers, etcโฆ. With all the stress I have pit the original one through over the years I have been amazed it never broke especially as I am very strong and โnormalโ things break too easily when I push past the limits. Iโll eventually come across my original as I work through the landโฆ when foundโฆ. I will give this one to my granddaughter to use on her farm. I rarely write a reviewโฆ but unlike todayโs โdisposableโ world of Chinese junkโฆ this USA pole is simply built so well that I had to speak up!

Works as advertised
As stated itโs made to bend, but so far itโs held up. I bought this to help dock the boat while backing into the marina slip and itโs very helpful. I wish the hook was metal though, because it would be more effective when hooking into the wood on the dock slip at my marina. The plastic hook with the ball end wonโt dig in to dock wood/concrete floating docks, so you have to be able to snag it onto a dock cleat or edge lip if available which can be tricky if itโs windy and you are trying to control the boat into the slip.

Love this
We found this and expected it to be a cheaper version of the real thing. It is a great hook. We were looking for a second boat hook, just in case. There are extremely nice versions that cost quite a bit. This one did not have the extra bells and whistles but is an expandable boat hook at a fair price. It claims to float, like so many things do. We plan to tie a line to it, throw it overboard and see for ourselves if it does indeed float. If it sinks, we will update this review. The one negative thing is it does not appear to include a "twist tighten securely ring" like many other versions do. It could extend and come apart, and if this does happen this will be updated.

Gotta have one
Quality is very good, I have one in two different boats. Easy to store.

Buy one for your truck bed.
Can't live without this boat hook. Always carry one in the back of my truck. Great for getting things from the front of the truck bed without actually climbing into the truck. Also use it to position my camping gear into the truck. Don't use much in the boat.

It floats . Very light weight. I love it.
Well worth the price, Iโve needed one for a long time. I use it a lot for many things when we are fishing.

Sรญ flota.

Two years used in a rough ocean, works perfect. No issues so far.

Expandable boat hook does it's job.
Best purchase ever for our boats - absolutely helps docking especially on windy days! Good quality - better than local store's version. Also helps with bringing up our pontoon expandable ladder which was too heavy to pull up from the water. When the pole is wet, it doesn't always lock in place but not an issue for us - still love it.

Good quality, questionable value for money
Not a huge issue but.. you know those annoying stickers that don't come off properly and leave that ugly torn paper and adhesive behind? Yah, it has those. Other than that it seems sturdy in hand and the hook end appears to be made of a very durable "aircraft plastic" material. I've had issues with previous telescoping boat hooks (not necessarily this brand). The ability to twist and tighten them appears to deteriorate over time and eventually doesn't hold at all, probably due to salt damage of internal mechanisms. We'll see how this one holds up. Is it worth $50+ dollars? That seems a bit steep. $28 would be a more acceptable value.
