Perfect for my kid to use for whatever metals he weighs. Friend borrowed it to weigh violin parts while building them. Works perfect for it. Quick and accurate.

Good quality, accurate scale. The battery power function is very nice as well, not needing to have it plugged in all the time.

This was much better than expected: (1) My accuracy needs require better than 0.1 g, my experience with this product was better than 0.02 g, (2) According to the mfr the resolution is 0.01g and the accuracy is 0.03g. (3) my experience from 1g to 100g the accuracy was 0.02g or better, which is better than mfr rating. (4) The price is outstanding for the performance. (5) Some reviews have been critical of erratic measurements, but I did not experience any difficulties. However when attempting to get 10 mg of accuracy there are many environmental sources of error that can cause erratic measurement; so do some research on the subject before attempting to make precise measurements. User error can easily cause 20+ mg of variation as demonstrated in one of the reviews.

*Update Edit: They did send me a replacement, so they made an effort to make this right which is why I bumped this up to 4 stars. I would still recommend checking your plug for this defect.* DO NOT USE INCLUDED PLUG! I used this scale for the first time, and it worked perfectly. But later in the day I looked at the outlet I had plugged it into and the prong from the plug was sticking out of the outlet bare! I tested the other prong and both prongs can be pulled right out of the included plug with a gentle tug. If this happens, you literally have unobstructed access to 120v. I would be very careful unplugging this from the wall, and would really advice using a different plug from the one included.

Muy buena balanza. Es económica pero funciona como una balanza de laboratorio. La he usado a diario por un año y medio y ha funcionado perfectamente. Debido a su alta precisión de dos decimales, me ha servido para pesar cantidades muy pequeñas que antes no podía calcular con otra balanza. Los botones de encendido y tare han comenzado a desgastarse pero le puse un poco de vinil transparente encima para protegerla y ha quedado muy bien. Muy buen producto por el precio. La recomiendo.

Overall it's a good scale for applications requiring a moderate degree of precision, like weighing spices, oils, or nutrient media. It's very lightweight, like picking up a calculator, and the buttons require a firm touch. I still think it's a good buy for $30 if you want precision to within a few hundredths of a gram. It can be plugged in or run off 2 AA batteries. The display is bright and the counting function works. The only real drawback for me is the upper weight limit of 600g.

This is a great little accurate unit that weighs out my life now. I use it everyday. Battery life is great, it’s been months without replacing them. It arrived promptly without excessive packaging and has been employed in a multitude of areas from weighing out TCM herbs and teas, to ingredients for favourite dishes. Great for calorie counting and anyone having to manage their intake after surgeries or life events that alter dietary requirements. It has a good range of practical tolerances and ca easily support a small plastic transparent tray and still maintain a good range. Heavier containers tax the capacity.
