I bought this for my elderly mother so that she would not have to maneuver her walker down the hall to the bathroom multiple times in the middle of the night. I was just hoping she would be willing to use it at night for safety and convenience, but I feared she'd reject it on sight. Turns out she likes it so much she uses it during the day! In fact, she only goes down the hall to her bathroom when she wants to brush her teeth or take a shower. This commode is VERY sturdy and stable and the hand rails are at just the right height for her to get herself up and down. I did not realize it would come with such a sturdy bucket with a lid; I was expecting an open hospital style basin. I also wasn't expecting sample liners with gel pads to absorb liquid. I didn't know those even existed! The first few days I took the whole bucket outside to tie up the bag and dump it, but there is absolutely no leakage, so it's easy to just tie up the bag and take that out by itself. I did some searching and found a different brand of liners/pads which was MUCH less expensive than the brand supplied with this chair and everything is working great. Every day my mother comments on how much she likes not having to trek all the way down the hall with her walker. I can't recommend this highly enough! Update: I noticed the negative reviews about this being too small and flimsy. Please note that my mom is 4' 10" and weighs 100 lbs. It's PLENTY sturdy for her.

This potty is very convenient for me. I recently had a c-section and this potty has been very helpful during my recovery. I use it throughout the night so that I won't have to walk all the way to the bathroom. I'm 5'11 and weighing about 180 and it's very sturdy for my size.

About a year ago my mother hurt herself in the master "super" shower we had. After six-weeks in hospital and various rehab/physical therapy centers she was able to come home. Initially we were using this so it would be easy for her to get on and off the toilet. When she came home we moved her to a different bedroom with a bathroom which had a regular walk-in shower. Once she strong enough to be able to get on and off the toilet with her own strength we put this in shower for her to use. We'had the product for over a year now. It is very sturdy, very easy to assemble and if needed to adjust.

For the money this is worth it, however, if sturdiness is your chief concern, this is not it. The unit is good for someone steady on their feet, but not a non-walking person. The bucket/seat setup is nice. The bucket has a handle and lid for easy removal. The seat has a lid to cover up. I would purchase it again if I wanted it for camping, etc.

Following my husband's hip replacement, he needed added height to be able to use our bathroom. This really fit the bill and he continues to use it to make it easier 6 months later! It is easy to clean and lightweight to handle for ease of cleaning around. The only caution I would add is that if a person is over 250 lbs., this may be a little too lightweight for them and it could bend the frame. It supported 220 just fine! I liked how easy that it was for one person to put together. The instructions were very simple and visible for people with poor eyesight. It seems pretty sturdy and easy to put bags in the bucket to use and I like the lid to cover when removing the bucket to empty. I’m very well pleased with it. It will be easy to take apart and store until needed again.

All was very good except I purchased this for a large man (6ft 2 in) 200 lbs. He just doesn’t fit on the seat. If there were an option to purchase a larger seat I’d do so. But, I can’t return this so am looking for someone who can use it.

Solid, secure, easy to assemble. Frankly, this is better than I expected. I got it for my dear old Dad who, at 90 1/2 has had a small stoke. His mobility is limited and with a bit of Sunowners it is a challenge for us or the care aides to get him down tothe bathroom in the nightime. Tjis commode is positioned beside his bed, provides a sturdy support for him and we are hoping that this eases his nightly travails. BTW, I paid for one day shipping and it arrived supe fast today, hours before I expected! Amazon rocks! Finally, it is only about $20 new vs used. Used.....eeeeeeeeyewwwwww!

This chair worked out very for our need and was easy to assemble. The only poor part was the the delivery by UPS. They don't bother to check if you are at home and just leave a sticker on the mailbox of the apartment. Then you have to go and pick it up at one of their outlets.

Good quality and very sturdy. It sits in the corner of the room since my wife came home from hospital. She uses a grab bar to get out of bed and over the 4 feet to it. I don't mind emptying it (liquid) in the mornings. Easy to clean, easy to assemble.

Very easy to assemble and adjust the height. Sturdy and secure but easy to move around as needed. Large enough to be comfortable but does not take up a lot of space. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone needing a commode.
