Makita B-59259 Adapter, SDS-PLUS to 1/4" Hex

This thing is great. I keep it in my SDS-Plus rotary hammer kit and use it frequently. It has a 5/16 nut setter that lives in it. Use it to run in #10 hex head screws after drilling out and installing masonry anchors at work. My drill is not a Makita and it still works fine in a red drill *hint hint*.

Solid little adapter. Strong enough to have worn out dozens of 5/16 masonry bits in a hammer drill. Collet still slides easily and connects tight enough not to have issues. Slight bit of wobble so probably not what you want for detailed trim or cabinetry work. In that case I'd look for the adapter with a traditional chuck or just not use an SDS drill for that sort of thing.

Nice to have for emergencies.

These are really handy to have for a quick change tapcon driver. Used it enough times to see that it's a good quality head. These are not made to take the harder hitting inline hammering of SDS, so rotation-only, don't be an idiot with your tools. (the "sideways" hammering of impact drivers/impact wrenches is different and this head could probably withstand that if it fit into those tool chucks but just keep it rotation-only on SDS)
